Hmmm....

I don't see a problem. Government programs are doomed to fail. End FedEd and this goes away..

Yeah, because private education is totally incorruptible!

Attached: Rick-Singer-AP.jpg (640x320, 31K)

By God you're absolutely right! How in the hell did they let a nigger become a teacher?

Georgia fag here
Our new governor, Kemp, already increased teacher wages state wide and is now trying to end common core. He is a Republican btw.

Give her some of your own money instead of shitposting about it here, fag.

I don't care if private education is corrupt-able. Stop wasting my money turning kids into commies.

Teachers make salaries about the average for college educated workers and above the national average. All while only working only 3/4 of the year. Teachers running into financial difficulty simply have poor money management skills.

niggers are terrible with money. they will spend their entire paycheck on one designer outfit to look rich

it makes me so mad how much we've had to dumb down our educational system to accommodate all the anchor babies of illiterate third world indio goblinos

The public education system fails people by not teaching them sound personal finances. How can it when teachers can't even do it for their own households?

>because you sit here talking about it instead of doing something.

Ohhh, isn't that right?
Teachers start to strike after DECADES of them being silent, cucked dipshits and suddenly the media reports about them.

Take charge of your future, or shut the fuck up.

It’s all of these. I remember in my early twenties I made 13 bucks an hour working overnights at a hotel. I lived in Santa Barbara, paid 1300 a month for a one-bedroom apartment, was leasing a new Scion tC, would go on dates, and I was still putting away almost a grand a month into my stock portfolio. I guarantee these teachers are making more than I did, and they are only working 3/4ths of the year (so they could get tutoring work or do deliveries or whatever during summer and other vacations). Being a teacher is a good and easy job. They’re just irresponsible, entitled whiners used to everyone obeying their commands.

Teachers have been obsolete since the internet.

I'm in Kentucky where teachers have been bitching for about a year - they had my sympathy at first but now they've co-opted #resist movements and generally act hostile/aggressive. Thankfully they're losing support now among the public - the teachers that ran for office got BTFO in the midterms, and despite the shit they're bitching about failing to become reality, teachers in Louisville have been calling in sick to protest and school's been closed as a result so parents are pissed.

who knew that being a propagandist to brainwash children wouldn't be lucrative?

Holy fucking Christ those genetics

The fact that tenure makes them almost impossible to get rid of.

don't teachers make like $30 an hour?

>teachers making 30 dollars an hour
No, that's not a thing.

Why would you still work there?

Depends but they make solid middle class slightly above average earnings.

Justify your existence when the American school system spends 12 years to produce workers with 0 marketable skills.

Attached: 0B407E78-3C08-492E-ABC0-FA4E7B7EC6E6.jpg (300x300, 30K)

Absolutely fucking this. I see it a lot too, as I do HR administration for a large school conglomerate. All fine wages, many are even downright overpaid. And still they strike. They're never content and none of them have any enterprising spirit. The 'those who can't, teach' meme is sadly true in a lot of cases. They have like 10 weeks off a year, weekends free and often they don't even work 9-17, have set days off etc. If the salary really isn't enough (which it is if you live anything but obscenely wasteful), there's plenty of time to do a side job, like you said, like tutoring. There's good money to be made in evening hours, weekends and vacations (which often coincide with those of people in need of tutoring, speaking about a golden opportunity).

tl;dr if that fatso in OP's pic literally can't afford to even repair her car aftee 20 (!) years of working in the same field, that's entirely her fault and merely uttering her complaint should be reason enough because this explicitly means that dumb niggress is retarded, lazy and entitled and that's not someone you want rubbing off on the nation's youth. She can look all smug if she wants, but any sane person would have nothing but ridicule for her.

I graduated high school like 7 years ago. My entire time, I had three good teachers. People that wanted to teach, had a talent for it.
My history teacher comes to mind, she was amazing and passionate about history, and she was very up front and vocal about how little she was able to teach because the only important thing was making marks on standardize test.
Everyone else then those three, holy fuck. Honestly just some of the shittyest people I've encounter.
So many self entitled women with superiority complexes.
Teachers that have worked a year, and just are like eh fuck it, and do their job like a shitty teanager that doesn't give a shit at McDonald's.
I feel for the ones, that wanted to teach and just have delt with so much shit they've given up, and are just trying to make it to retirement.
Our administration sucked too.
It just became obvious that most of the people there, graduated from school, went into school again, and have never not been apart of the educational system.
So what I'm saying is I belive education is important. And we should defiantly compensate our teachers well. But the whole system is so fucked up, and just paying the teachers more would probably make things worse. The problem that all the smart people with talent are scared away, and the system just attracts trash.
Let's reward the trash, and attract more by making being trash more lucrative might not be the right answer. But good luck unfucking this system. And waht the fuck do I knows. That's just my opinions and observations.

This. Then they blame the govt. for not getting paid enough while the administrators they work for directly make six figures to hide from the kids and decide where the fucking money goes.

There is a massive teacher shortage. Pretty much everyone who does not have too much invested in the profession are leaving.
>inb4 the three states that actually pay teachers a decent wage

American schools are designed to make factory workers and free up time for both parents to work.

That’s it

This bitch could have saved herself a lifetime of heartbreak if she had just applied at walmart.

Attached: Walmart-Hires-Felons-1.jpg (1024x768, 81K)

When you teach propaganda as education one may argue that you deserve worse.

Imagine letting that ugly nigger mold and shape the mind of your child, public education is a travesty / joke.

K? I’m leaving a job right now because my needs money wise have outgrown what I’m making now.

reason enough to fire her black ass*

Also I want to again emphasise that smug look. She's taking pride in her self-chosen poverty, like some martyr taking his flagellation with his head held up high. Every single thing about this mentality is disgusting beyond reason. This is what is wrong with modern western education.

"Just get a different job" is not resolving the issue, bucko

What does Abe Vigota have to do with this?

Kids are non productive so why bare the hradache of educating them

Total BS. Teachers don't make a lot to start, but wait a few years and they're making bank and work like 3/4 of a year. Work summer school and it's double pay. Also retire at 55 with a fat pension.

What issue? The issue is she needs more money. The solution is to get a job that pays more.

The issue isn’t “teachers don’t make enough”. Teachers make above average

>How is this acceptable?
socialism.

>Just above average
You mean just enough to not get gibs, but too little to live above paycheck-to-paycheck?

Because she's a nigger.

Average, average wage, you don’t get gibs at average you fucking dweeb

>Lack of reading comprehension: the post

>How is this acceptable?
There aren't enough white applicants to fill all teaching jobs. You need to hire blacks to make up the difference.

Teacher here, been at it for 6 years. 4 in public, 2 in private. The money is better in public (pension) but you have less control and are generally treated like shit so it’s soul crushing and exactly the reason while people burn out

Private I have much more freedom but make less so I have to bust ass driving a bus and coaching

I have zero free time during the year. Always grading or making new lessons. At the end of the day you just feel like a pleb

I was idealistic and stupid. Thought I could help my country by preventing communism from infecting the brains of kids and teaching them about the constitution

My goal is to bounce and fly helos for the army and get paid to blow shit up and never grade another fucking test in my life

Your a fucking glorified day care how much do you expect to make

Teachers work about 180 days a year, compared to the average wage slave who works on average 245 days out of the year. That's an extra 13 weeks of vacation for teachers.

*you're and I am not even a teacher

govt spends ~$125K per child, K-12.

13 years of school, and they leave with no job skills whatsoever.

Oh, an then they tell them they need to go to university to gather skills for a career. about another $100k on average. still, most leave university and never get a job in their field of study.

that's over $225K in cost and over 17 years of education, with no guarantee you get a decent job.

so teachers complain about low pay? fuck off

Attached: remmber.jpg (724x792, 99K)

If your a teacher and living paycheck to paycheck, you have bad money management skills.

How hard is it to bank $20 a week? After a year, that's $1,000. Oh yeah, you'd probably have to forego hair straightener and that cool wig you saw in the store.

"I cant afford to see a doctor for headaches"

Uhh, govt employees have health insurance

>Uhh, govt employees have health insurance
>What are premiums
Spotted the high schooler

* and deductibles

Under teacher union contracts, teachers pay little to nothing.

Simple, you can’t be fired and have job security that most of us in the private sector can only dream of, so what’s the trade off? You get paid less. Should have got a masters in something else

You need to pay a deductible for procedures. If the doctor says she needs an MRI, she would have to pay several hundred dollars

>If your a teacher and living paycheck to paycheck, you have bad money management skills.

lets not forget, they get summers off, too.

instead of using those summers to march around in pink hats screaming like idiots, maybe get a job and make some extra cash?

Attached: 123232198 - Copy.jpg (678x472, 56K)

>see a doctor for headaches

Thinking back I only had a handful of teachers that actually went above and beyond with their job. They were great, engaging, and usually fun. The rest were there for a paycheck, constantly had us just reading out of the book, and doing assignments in textbook. Then they'd bitch about how hard their job was all the while making it hard on themselves because they have to do things a specific way. Straight idiots most of them. They stifle learning and creativity for the sake of test scores.

im a govt worker

my premium is 20 a month for FULL FUCKING COVERAGE

I dont pay for medicine

If I were to go to a doctor my deductibles dont exceed 200 or something

Surgery or w/e is like 1k max

The funny thing is Im on the lowest possible rung tier wise.

Factory workers require mechanical knowledge and increasingly supply chain management and programming.

Schools teach nothing of value, they create no value at tremendous cost.

>You need to pay a deductible for procedures. If the doctor says she needs an MRI, she would have to pay several hundred dollars

It's nearly impossible to fire a bad teacher. In NYC, they send bad teachers to "rubber rooms" where they hang out all day and still get paid while their cases get argued by union reps which can take years. The city just hopes they get bored enough to quit. Some years back, a story came out that one teacher was running his real estate business out of a rubber room.

>I'm a gov worker
In a poor right-to-work state? Or a cushy GS-12?

>lets not forget, they get summers off, too.
I know teachers and to be fair they work long hours during the school year. It isn't like they're pulling a 7-2 shift and loling all the way to the bank. The summers off is nice but it isn't like they're not putting in the hours. Of course the problem is most teachers are garbage and the education system itself is garbage. Just saying.

To make it worse they're basically required to continue their "education" (I believe at personal expense, though they do get a raise for doing so, maybe this varies by state/district).

Imagine you're at your job and to keep it you have to go back to school but you don't technically get any time off to do it so you have to work 12 hour days for 3/4 of the year, and by the way they don't pay for your education.

I don't have pity, they were dumb enough to go into teaching in this retarded environment. Just saying.

Glad you are a huge contribution to this board

>see a doctor for a headache
kys

She's lucky she even has a job, and kids, and otherwise, what was she doing having kids she couldn't afford then? Most teachers make at least 35k a year plus, so if she can't get by on that, she's doing something wrong, especially if she has a partner that contributes. Not saying she'll get ahead or save for retirement, but she can get back to me when she's been neglected for 2 decades and forced to live on less than 10k a year for 20 years straight.

>nigger

In NYC, it used to be standard practice for teachers to collect unemployment over the summer vacation. The city put a stop to that by paying them over the summer, one month's pay in the beginning of July and another month's pay at the end of August.

Like I said, if you teach summer school, it comes to double pay. Usually there are more teachers volunteering to do summer school than there are openings.

and I guess Ill say it here: I worked in NYC for the dept of education. I was a teacher.

starting salary is 65k a year. You cant go below that. It only goes up. Health insurance and all the works is great. I did "overtime" during the summer which was basically something like 300 a day for sitting in a room for 8 hours or something.

It was regents week. The school had proctors, and people "on hold" sitting in a room on their phones. I proctored (sat in a room staring at the wall or reading my book while high schoolers took their test) maybe 3 times for a total of 1 hour during the week. My lunch breaks were me going home (7 minute drive) and playing...I forgot what came I was playing actually. But I know I was getting paid to sit in my underwear. Because nothing was happening i took 2 hour lunch breaks

oh, btw a teachers workday is 6 to 7 hours

lunch breaks included

Middle school and high school teachers only really work 4 hours a day or less because unlike elementary school, the kids dont stay with 1 teacher throughout the day

They still are considered full time

The dept of ed is flushed with cash and the pay is amazing for the NO REQUIREMENT TO ENTRY

The only downsides are dealing with fucjing kids, making lesson plans, and grading shit. But there are ways to cut down on that

They don’t work 12 hour days....

Attached: B7B719F1-FFEB-4104-BA25-5A4397C5D078.jpg (897x972, 251K)

truth

I spoke to a teacher that had a friend who completed his masters while in one of those rooms

It’s absolute bullshit. An average teacher’s salary is enough to live a comfortable life in most areas of the country. The problem with most teachers is that they’re not content with living a comfortable middle class existence. They somehow think that a teaching degree from a second-rate university should guarantee them a spot in the upper echelon of society and that’s just not so.

>It's nearly impossible to fire a bad teacher.

imagine a truly free-market education system:

>Schools would be better due to competition
>teachers would be better due to competition
>good teachers would be paid more
>bad teachers would be fired
>bad schools would either go out of business or shape up
>liberal indoctrination wouldn't be tolerated

Damn dude, you make it sound pretty nice. Better than waiting tables.

the mindset of "i gotta get a doctor for a headache" is the reason you dont have money
>im a teacher
THIS is why kids are retarded

Teachers are the single most pampered class of workers in the USA, financially, time-wise, pension-wise, by any metric you can think of other than having to interact with other people's brats all day, which is the whole point of their job in the first place. I'd have an easier time buying this cover story if it was literally any other profession in existence.

I teach 9th grade and not only can I do all of those things, but I have no complaints and actually enjoy teaching in the inner city. I teach social studies and I have one class full of teenage shitlords who mock communism/socialism and I have to pretend like I hate them for being disruptive but they are genuinely hilarious.

I work with people who do exactly that. Sit kids down and tell them to do work from a textbook or online. They are not moving around checking in with students, they don't give a shit about the school community, they are facilitators at best. I check out their social media and they are the first ones to attack conservatives because they teach inner city kids who they assume would benefit from liberal policies.

But I bet she has tons of shiny things. Has the 60 foot teevee, those $3K rims on her minivan. She most likely goes out on week ends to the club as well.

im not making it up

heres a schedule for when i substitute taught

day begins at 8, ends at 2:15

"prep" really means "go have lunch or something"

I made 180 a day

So you got to be at least 27. Bro you better hop in the army while you still can. Usually the best way, to get into helicopters is as a warrant officer, there's not a ton of slots open as a commission, and you'll run the risk of getting desked pretty quick.
Also, the aviation industry, at least as a pilot isn't alot better then the education industry. Being rotary is as bad, but there isn't much of a demand either. So if you O-grade have an exit statigy. If you don't you'll probably be able to retire pretty comfy, but you might spend your last 10 years behind a desk.

I know a few teachers and I can tell you what teachers appreciate most is when they see that the parents are involved with their kid's education. A lot of parents look at school as free daycare and that's as far as it goes. Stupid parents make stupid kids.

One friend I have was a teacher working junior high school and this girl in her class doesn't show up for like five days. My friend calls up her mother to find out what's going on. She hears, "Oh, she went over to see her boyfriend and I don't know much more."

Teachers where I'm from make way too much. They just got 24% raise for working 9 months a year. I'll never again vote to increase school funding

one of the calculators from that same school

kids are still doing that S shit. This was last year

Apparently, she’s as fiscally illiterate as almost all other niggers.
My sis-in-law was an accountant for a pretzel store chain, said the black female manager of their main office who was 48 years old didn’t even u derstand how to balance her own checkbook and asked for help. Niggers only understand how to spend money, not manage it in any cohesive way.

Attached: 09D2AD87-ABAD-4014-9A1D-47EAC090A15A.png (584x490, 74K)

just call it freedom

another schedule from the same school

the save room was basically a detentuon room. I sat there with 3 other kids and re read the outsiders.

To my self, I mean. I wasnt reading out loud

Attached: Screenshot_20190313-151626_Gallery.jpg (1079x1423, 818K)

Also, many spend much of their time lobbying state politicians and protesting about their poor compensation, which is over 100k a year. Some quite a bit more...9 months a year people...3 months off, plus spring and winter 10 day breaks

That sounds like the inner city. That's likely not what that student was doing. It sounds like the parent had the kid out of school for some reason and didn't want to admit to it. I had a student who was pregnant and didn't come back for the 2nd semester this year and her mother said "she's been going to the doctor a lot but she's feeling better" and hung up the phone.

For those who don't know this is the solid dindu area of East New York. If you want to know what this neighborhood looks like, watch Death Wish 3.
You have my sympathies.

Depends on location.

Long Island NY, teachers bring home 80k a year easy.

Bum fuck nowhere AL, teachers will be lucky to make 30k.

hey, someone that knows

Yeah east ny is a solid dindu area. FDA is supposedly one of the better schools, though. The school next door under a parking lot was a lot shittier.

FDA was whatever to me while I was there. The kids adored me. But thats cause I was in my mid 20s and looked like a high schooler to them
