Most websites have their servers in the cloud nowadays, Facebook included. Many of them use AWS for this (Amazon). I'd look at Amazon if you're trying to find a common thread.

They had to block huge swaths of traffic to stop the attack. They also said they knew it was coming and were ready. Something is definitely happening. Is this the awakening of AI?
