I'm not sure compromising one's interpretation of Jesus' miracles to appear more "logical' is as convincing as it might appear desperate. The fact is, God would have no problem performing actual miracles. So conceding that they're really just metaphors could just appear as weakness, rather than holding strong to one's convictions. For anyone not admitting Jesus is God, His performing of miracles is hardly the reason.

evolution actually has a few issues. for once we dont have a single "missing link", that is a fossil of a species in the process of transitioning to another. we have on species and suddenly another pops up even though the change is too big to not be a gradual change, but for this gradual change we just dont have any evidence. we just assume its there or else evolution doesnt hold up.
additionally the possible combination of the basepairs are so many that there simply was not enought time to actually get a functioning DNA code that can do anything if the only method to add them is by random (pic related)
then its by default an unobservable theory as by definition it takes so long for evolution to take place that there is simply no way to observe it.
