It's absolutely possible they were that slow, I mean 2-3 minutes for them to even get concrete information, combined with reports coming in from multiple people/locations, then another 5-10 minutes to even physically get to the scene and best case scenario they were there five minutes after he'd already left.

And i'm all too familiar with police response times in Aus (ignore the meme flag, isp is doing weird shit again), but if you have a look at a map of Christchurch with respect to where the shootings took place and the location of Police stations i'd be hard pressed to believe officers didn't miss him by mere minutes and he seemed to be well aware of the fact.

Not to mention the response times for a mass shooting tend to be better than that of a house party gone awry or general domestic shit.

I don't think he could have gotten away with this type of attack. A random camera would have caught him or his car and he'd have been identified eventually.
