This is actually pretty strange because right wing nationalist parties are actually polling very highly in Slovakia.
Slovak National Party + Sme Rodina + L'SNS = 25-30% of the vote. You also have SaS, a more moderate but also eurosceptic, anti-immigration right wing party which is polling at 10-13%.
If you account for the fact that there is a 8-10% Hungarian minority, this means that 45% of ethnic Slovakians are voting for these parties.
They should've been smarter and all coalesced around one candidate.
The top eu official guy's party did say no to migrant quota's in 2015-2016, so he is a superior choice to Caputova, though obviously less based than the anti-establishment judge - Harabin.
Both would lose pretty badly to Caputova, if the polls are to be believed so she seems like a shoe-in. Hopefully the polls are wrong.
