Death for me is peace

In the one hand, I have a lot to live for and fear death. I wouldn't want to miss out on the wonderful journey with my wife that lies before me.
At the same time, I'm fucking tired. Tired of the grind, of putting up with people and all the bullshit. Even just existing is tiresome. I get it, those old timers who are just ready to go and joke about their own death. Sometimes when I'm really mentally and physically exhausted, I just want it to be over. But I'm not ready yet. I just know when the day comes I am no longer independent and able to do the things I want to, I'm pulling the trigger and calling it lights out. I will not allow myself to become an immense burden on everyone around me while suffering the whole time.
