True, but YouTube, has "allowed" (lack of a better term) the existence of various right winged channels that have been way more successful than the left ones.
I find it rather dubious that, I, who has subscribed to only to right winged people (defined by the media, not by me) is receiving, just today, half of my feed is "AOC is doing this", "Anti-Brexit propaganda", "Ilhan Omar is based" etc.
That long paragraph doesn't make sense. I'm not living in a secluded reality nor do I have my back turned at the future (whatever that shit means). It is just content, I agree, but there have been claims, justified by Google that the algorithm pushes the same narrative, and I find it odd that it switched in a couple of days to a different viewpoint that differs from my past browsing and subscription history.

I think you are missing the point he's trying to make. Obviously youtube is able to not only link likeminded videos with their algorythms but also those of an opposing viewpoint. So they're actively trying to break said filter bubbles. And this is most likely done technically, which is interestin. No, matter the context.

Left/Right aside, on YouTube all the top results you get are now from corporate sources at the top, eventually followed by some non corporate content creators that are “partnered” with and approved by YouTube. The only thing you can do is learn about channels you like from outside of YouTube and subscribe. The search function has turned into a “Google Recommends” section

Perhaps it is good for OP to be exposed to these others views, or maybe it isn't.

The real question here though it it happening at all. Have the people running YouTube decided that is their job now?

Doesn't surprise me, but still I live in a country that is some sort of secluded from the American politics, for example. YouTube has done a pretty good job on filtering the Romanian media/ YouTubers based on my previous search history, so my question is, if they're doing such a great job, retaining my attention with what I want to see, how come out of the blue, there is an affluent of contradicting videos (to my personal beliefs based on my search/viewing history)?
It's not as one user said above that I'm offended, I'm just intrigued by how the algorithm shifted 180 for me on my home page.

Oh and it's only in regards to politics not sports or anything else.

But when a certain business has the monopoly in a certain domain, it becomes much more than strictly a "business platform".
If your YouTube channel is your means of existence and you can be banned of the platform for the content of your speech and not for breaching the: terms of service, that creates a huge precedent and it doesn't fall under the premise of: I'm a privately owned business I can chose who I work with.
YouTube is the biggest and pretty much the only platform that's relevant in this age.
If they won't realize that if they'll keep on silencing certain people, governments will impose regulations and sanctions, which I don't want and I'm sure Google doesn't either.

You as YouTube, are the biggest and only (debatable, but strictly speaking true) platform that is monetized. People make the decision to go on YouTube and create videos, linking their livelihood with Google.
When you have a platform which is for the people who live off of it, an extension to their social life and a means to communicate their x/y views to people, is it OK to ban people off it (as there is no real alternative atm) just because it is your business? justifying the ban with breaches of the terms and services (sometimes outrageously stupid).
