20 hours ago, Telstra began pulling down sites for general Australian access. These now include several chans, LL, and 0 Hedge. It appears other providers have followed suit since, including Vodafone and Optus. iiNet is still up. But if the past is anything to go by, these providers may just copycat each other because of the mixture of PR desperation and a lack of competitors.
When you contact them to complain, pic related is what they say.
By the way, before getting this response, the complainant had a new zealand woman yell and talk over them about the nature of their complaint, before the supervisor was requested (after a long hold).
I encourage Ausposters to consider the following
1. Call and complain to Telstra (132200) or other providers. Why? Because they have limited supervisors. If you saturate them, they will have to start weighing the cost of customer service against the actions they have taken.
2. Call and complain to TIO (18OO 062058).
3. Switch providers (to e.g. iiNet) and let money talk. This is a real life case that will prove one of two world views right: the "free market solves everything" view versus the "capitalism is just subversive corporate control" view.
4. Learn to use VPNs often and well, and teach others to do so.
5. Mentally prepare for culture to change, for some of your sites to be taken down like moral scoldings for chunks at a time, and for possible future crackdowns that make internet access a little bit harder using the tools we have now.
Cucks. Faggot little no free speech island full of inbred abbo nigger censored little cucks.

>ZeroHedge Isn't this like, an alt-lite Breitbart-esque news site?
Gavin Torres
Unironically complain to the Ombudsmen. As many of you as possible as much as possible.
When it comes to government litigation, the loudest complainers always win because the people receiving the complains are human too. Eventually they just get fed up. That's how leftists get what they want.
Charles King
Can we report to them that facebook has hosted the videos too? imagine the normies rage if they cant get on their echo chambers
Carter Thompson
Implying they wouldnt do the same here at the drop of a hat.

the pirate bay is supposed to be banned by all ISP's in Australia, yet i can still access it with a pirated version of windows 7 ultimate. suck it faggots
Fuck man any way to protest this without shitty optics?
Jonathan Cook
As long as it is only a DNS block I couldn't care less, just change your DNS server to 8.8.8.8 (or any other 3rd party service)
Jose Price
it's true. isn't that why Aus govt. (at first) didn't ban Milo from Australia recently? The only reason they folded was because of 'free speechists backlash'
Logan Collins
>LL Now there's a name I haven't heard in a while. Any (ex?) baby yETIs want to tell me how they're doing, particularly with the Christchurch thing?
This coming from a country where you can go to jail for "misgendering" a mentally ill man.
Elijah White
They will simply said that "face book deletes them, so its fine"
Hunter Gonzalez
>shitty optics
you've got a free speech crackdown and a gun grab going and you're worried about optics? nice knowing ya kiwi.
Anthony Davis
I tried to get this thread up about 9 times reformatting it because of the 'spam' warning. When I changed liveleak to LL and ZeroHedge to 0 Hedge, it finally went through
> what is zerohedge? I’ll sum up their content for you: “the market will craaash!”
Leo Howard
>A bunch of spergs go out on the street to protest censorship >Get the shit beaten out of them by Good People(tm) who care about others and don't like the anti-muslim bigotry on display (even though the protest is about censorship) >News media blames the anti-censorship spergs for the violence and praises those who stood up to the white supremacist rally.
Asher Hill
it's weird because zero hedge doesnt even actively upload the video. they could have just added the website to the blacklist because it's a 'right-wing kook' site
Caleb Collins
oops, meant to reply to
Henry Williams
>cancel contract >change to a better ISP that doesn't treats you paying customers like literal criminals
Wow wasn't that hard was it Austard?
Caleb Rivera
You don't even need a third party software just do as following >Right-click the network symbol in your task bar >Choose Network and Sharing Center >Choose at its left side "Change adapter settings" >Right Click either your wireless adapter ("Wireless Network Adapter" or similar) or your wired adapter ("Local Area Connection" or similar)[the one you use] >Choose "Properies" >Double click "Internet Protocol Version 4..." >Choose "Use following DNS Server addresses" (or similar) > Enter in the now white upper field (Preferred DNS Server) "8.8.8.8" >Press Okay till everything is closed again >Done

> wrong call Ah! I was just about to point out I very much agree with your post. I’m leftie but free speech is above all.
Ethan Smith
yeah thats why it's in the OP advice to go with iiNet, but it's very likely they could all put down a ban because of the pressure. It's only been a few days and they almost all have. Similar things happen when Apple decides they dont like something. We only have a few service providers here (
Mason Howard
when you suck dick do your swallow the cum or do you spit it out and rub it on yourself like a giant faggot
If anything this shows Zerohedge was not a kooky site, turns out the extreme far-leftist establishment does fears them no matter how much "f-f-f-fake news!" they cry in public. I'll never talk shit about zerohedge ever again.
Lincoln Moore
yeah but much better

i wonder how pissed they are that other similar sites remain up. probably because backlash from their being taken down would be greater? more traffic?
Kayden Lewis
I certainly don't spit it out like a faggot. I swallow it like a manly man. Like you.
Julian Young
No offense, but you have to be an idiot to think ZH was ever "kooky". At its worst, its just RT propaganda, which tends to be fairly accurate. What else do a bunch of market technical analyst guys have left to do once the economy evolved into step 4. of the simulacrum, divorced from all reality.
Samuel Parker
...
Daniel Mitchell
Fagbook 'accidentally' banned links to ZH shortly after that outage. Maybe a certain 'banned' list was put into effect a little too early on accident? Good thing no one remembers shit or can put 2 & 2 together anymore.
This. This is literally what the TIO is for However, for the TIO to take the case, you have to have lodged a support case first. That's a good thing. Support calls cost them money

In other words, need to find a better way, an unsubvertable way, to spin it.

2 + 2 being 4 still blows normie minds. Keep it dumb and unmemorable, so the peeps keep forgetting the 2 that preceded the 2 that preceded the 2 that preceded the 2...
I wouldn't be surprised if they try for the global corporate control angle in the next crisis, the pendulum will only stay over here for so long.

>Pure white ID >Doubles >Good advice A-are you a Saint, Bruce?
Liam Scott
I don't like Jow Forums and I don't like the way many here glorify mass murder, but this censorship is an attack on free speech, which is far worse to me, and I don't know where else to discuss it. In trying to censor it the telcos have effectively driven me here.
I'm on Aussie Broadband so I hopefully don't have much to worry about. I've heard also that this is related to Interpol, so that makes me slightly worried.
Julian Miller
If it's legally enforced then they should be stating that it wasn't their decision or that they are required to. They're not. They're actively claiming it as a corporate decision.
Alexander Fisher
Everything about this reeks. The censorship ratchet was certainly pre-planned, FFS the EU bureaucracy and the UK dystopia being what they are, we were given effective dates for their affect. Welcome to the simulacrum, Bruce.
Christian Gutierrez
Yeah exactly. That's what lead to the OP pic
Definitely. people 'care' (slap on a filter or rant on the internet) for so long and forget. so it makes sense

lol, you can access it by just changing your DNS setting in any browser
The fact that a workaround exists does not make the block acceptable. You can work around the chinese firewall if you try hard enough but that doesn't make it okay that it exists.
John Watson
Nah, you're completely right. I just thought it was funny that he's using a cracked Win7 version.
