The weed thing was happening during another happening, and I suspected that it might have been like how the Jews played porn on all major broadcasting stations when they were taking over Palestine, to keep them pacified while they set up their defenses.
I wouldn't be surprised to find information regarding Israel being a big part of the push for legalization of weed, and it's advertisement as a way to keep people from actually doing anything to counter them.
