Get in here South Africans. How you lot doing in the dark? Any creative solutions to our new power problems? Anyone taking chances in the dark in your neighborhood? What do you think the repercussions for this new-old issue will be?

I keep hearing about the absolute nightmare our banks are in due to the unpredictable powerouts. As well as software corruption in electronic dependent businesses.

I think the new election period coming up is going to be interesting with the new unrest.

Additionally my cell reception completely crashes when the power goes so fuck communication I guess.

I thought you had a black out ever since apartheid ended.

There was still gas and oil in the proverbial car when it was "sold".. The new "owners" dont understand that you need to top it up and service it.

Dude run away from that country while you still can, you're going to be disemboweled and raped if you keep taking your chances living there.

Went out 3 time yesterday here on eKapa....In the morn , afternoon and then again at 22.00. Wonder how this will play out in our election....

Let's stay upbeat tho Boet.

Stay safe SAbros

I'll look into getting work in Texas or something. But where is safe these days? The 3rd world is pouring into everywhere.

Perfect excuse for a braai right?

Same to you Auzzi. Dont let those government retards pussify your culture.

Agreed...Doesn't help when the big exam is on for me. Man this must really screw up the economy...what's left of it.

I'm honestly kind of surprised there haven't been any shack fires at my neighborhood yet. Guess they are playing a lil more carefully with fire now. But I'd they dont get this load shedding under control before winter hits it's going to get toasty

Go to East Europe. Even if they would have liberal governments no 3rd wordlers would go there due to no gibs (poor countries). Educated professionals on the other hand can easily get good job and life a cozy safe life in Czech Republic, Slovakia or Poland.

I heard it was something like 1 billion every day for each stage of load shedding.

So a stage 4 load shedding cycle for a day costs SAs economy 4 billion. And I think I'm being conservative with the numbers here.

For me it's better here. I went to Paris awhile back and it was great but just looking at recent events the place looks shaky. Cape Town is OK if you avoid gang areas. This recent whole load shedding thing apparently has to do with some Hydro-electric station out of state that went down... at least that's the Primary Suppliers explanation, but no-one believes them. Man People here are beyond pissed off. Having no electricity sends a country back to the stone-age. I wonder if there is a more sinister reason behind this shit?

And of course that bill goes directly to the little Saffer tax-payers in Inflation/taxation. SA is becoming one of the most expensive countries in the world for locals to live in. The rand is worthless ! That's alarming.

>niggerfication at it finest

I can make an LLC and tried to get you here on a work visa

>For me it's better here. I went to Paris awhile back and it was great

Nah, you just didn't go to the shitty areas, which have since grown and threaten the entire continent.

Fleeing is not an option. That's what people did before, and it led to these areas growing out of control. We need to stand our ground or soon there won't be anywhere left to go.

Any second now

Literally anywhere else is safer then Africa, building a houseboat out of driftwood and randomly floating on the open ocean would be be a safer choice.
You can't go wrong, any place that you go will be a great idea compared to staying.
And going some place and deciding that you need to leave that place too is still better then staying in an ebola incubator run by feral niggers.

LOL! I'm typing at a moerse speed....If you want to get to the real reason why this is happening start here

miningmx.com/opinion/columnists/25709-sa-can-hardly-afford-bhp-billiton-s-smelters/

Was listening to some grootkop from ESKOM laying the shit down on Cape Talk and then this Engineer phoned in and let rip about this ....The ESKOM PR afterwards was all like "um...well ...You know ....mmm Let's see what's on the script...gimme a sec" and his mobile connection started breaking up.

I wouldn't be surprised if there was some other reason as well besides incompetence. The Chinese are loving this firesale of South Africa. Everything must go!

I also heard some real stupid shit but I can't judge the validity of it.
Stuff like
>one power out was occurred due to everyone in the control room going to the toilet at the same time.
>a power plant accepted and tried to use stones instead of coals due to no quality control.

That's the way I see it....I'm not against well regulated Privatization that brings in real investment that actually benefit a countries little Taxpayers, but we do not have the national Brains or will to find that balance. Like Mbeki, Ramaphosa is a Corporate Plant, educated in those overseas wealth-sucking Corporate Institutions like Oxford. This is the shit that gives crazy Populist leaders like Malema their growing base. It's all about the shekels, even for the uneducated little folk.

But then again with stuff like this happening
google.com/amp/s/businesstech.co.za/news/government/255511/while-petrol-is-at-record-highs-the-road-accident-fund-is-paying-r1666-to-rent-a-single-office-chair/amp/

I'm kinda inclined to believe it

And besides the brain and will requirements, if you arnt "friends" with the leeches in power you ain't gunna get jack shit done.

totally fucking underrated post

This is the issue with this country and it's fucked up currency and debilitating "Load-shedding". It's much like the US treasury giving it up for the US Fed. There is no national or state regulating authority here. So basically the international financial policies of the privately-owned "South African" Reserve Bank dictates National Policy, and all our s/elected officials bow to the Great God of Private International Finance believing these fuck give a shit about some Darkie getting up at 6.00 in the morning in the dark to go serve them because he has no choice. Forgive my socialist/Commie political views ...At UCT.

I don't know how this went over everyones heads.

Cell towers need electricity to work m8

Shit. Got my local transformer blowing up and nationwide load shedding mixed up . Thanks boet

Go out and travel my Canadian Friend. You Guys have got it coming under your Justin Clown and whatever regressive leftist Corporate Canadian Horror that follows in his destructive Multicultural wake ,then you will want to live like me here...We Saffers have ridden the first storm wave for you and warned you way back already like we tried with the Brits and Ozzies...Now our reality is yours Suck it up! You should have listened!

South African Race War when?

If only William Walker suceeded in being the American Cecil Rhodes and maybe today The Sonora Republic would be Afrikaners second home.

i only hope that the ANC niggers lose this election, and the DA fix the current problems.

my municipality is so dysfunctional that they cant even implement load shedding. we last had load shedding in january.

Fail? I guess?

I thought it was bad here having a muzzie mayor of the capital city. South Africans literally live with 95% niggers for neighbours.

Leave that shithole lads. I know it will pain you to leave but do you seriously think there is a future there for your kids or grandkids?
