If you raise them properly and with the right blend of authority and love they'll never hurt you and be loyal to an unbelievable degree. Granted, some breeds have only one (or two) people they really listen to, and ignore commands from anyone else (Malinois Shepherds come to mind, it's why they're good police dogs). Still, in dog shows like Cesar Milan's its always women who can't handle their dogs and coddle them too much.
