internal medicine is probably the easiest residency to get into, unclear what that comment meant. general surgery is one of the most undesirable fields there are. i believe the user meant- something better like...derm or anesthesia, if they meant competitiveness or salary. and in that case, the user would be correct.

No, they are only divided because of insurance. Do you go to one doctor to tell you your leg is broken, then to another doctor to get pain medication? No, you get everything from one doc.

Im in medschool and want to do psychiatry in the states. I come in here to look at delusions. How do you feel about what you see on here?

Also i take concerta to help me study boring shit. Would it be wise to reduce my dose and quit for 2-4 weeks then go back to 36 in 2 months?

And what can you recommend me for derm. Id like to pass it but hate it.

More directly related to psych. The drugs are good but dont jump to diagnosing people too early. Also try to keep the drug giving to a minimal, and dont doubt someone could have add just because they arent hyperactive. My old psych thought my. Brain chatter was a reason to give olanzapine and i ended up getting parkinsonian movement disorder from 2.5mg. Worst day ever.

Id recommend the book medical basis of psychiatry, kaplan and sadock, the dsm pocket manual, maybe something else.

Try to learn psychotherapy very well. And if things are getting boring go into pain medicine. Its going to. Be a big deal especially if you are a psychiatrist trained in it.

One surgeon in thebstates that i personally know was on welbutrin for 20 years so i wouldnt be suprised if more of them i kind of stressed out and fucked up by thier job.

Family med and internal isnt bad either but psych is pretty wonderful. You will have time for other things in life with pysch and offer excellent preventative care to people. Good luck working with people that have borderline. That stuff just about never gets better, and giving benzos to a lot of them makes them uninhibited. They give risperidone here to them but its not fda approced in america. Really tough having bpd or being close to someone them.

Just take things easy. The pt have to want to change unless they are psychotic and it isnt reversible.

Check the metabolic and general somatic health records of people dont fuck up and give an alcoholic with a bad heart disulfiram.
