I've noticed most "Castizos" with American flags are just offspring of Hispanic-White American couples and this may explain why you guys want to be seen as white.

When I think of Castizos I think of people from Latin America or have both parents who are Hispanic and who's 3/4 white blood is mostly Iberian or Southern European. Most "pure" Hispanic Castizos don't really see themselves as white nor want to be seen as white. At least of the most part.

Tbh the whole caste system these distinctions are based on are complicated and arbitrary (A pure Spanish immigrant is higher caste than a person born of pure Spanish blood, for example). I wouldn't think too much about the specifics. If you look up the caste system this was based on, all combinations they considered to be castizo always end up adding to 75% white.
