How do you represent yourself to tourists of your country?
Are you friendly?
Are tourists welcome?

Depends on the race of the tourists.
IDK who's a tourist and who isn't in this country.
In Scotland we are very nice to tourists. Very friendly, glad to have visitors.
Of they ain’t white they ain’t right
Tourist don't visit Dallas
Stupid mutt. Tourists spend money then they go home
In Iran people are very kind to tourists but nasty to each other. I wonder if there is anywhere else in the world like this.
>Muh healthy economy
You should have been at the mosque
Fuck the tourists
I will bet so. I love the Middle East... Always treated kindly. I miss being able to buy a sack of hibiscus and other dried flowers from the market.
Also the bread is real.
I generally am. We actually have very few tourists really.
Are the photos from the 70s genuine? Tehran had that highly fashionable ski resort right?
Where are they from?
I was treated very well in Germany, in Munich they thought I was from Berlin because I was dressed a little off beat. Ich bin eine Kunster.
All over the world, coming to visit your amazing home, to tell their people about it
What's in Texas to see? I've always wanted to see the Californian Redwoods and Alaska. Maybe Grand Canyon. But USA isn't high up on my list right now I want to see Italia and Japan/Korea. and I don't think I'm even allowed in the USA as a tourist because Trump felt to ban Iranians but not the actual terrorists like Saudis and Pakistanis.
There is a Canyon called Zion as well they have unusual geology like in Petra
You're kidding, you can't visit America?
not trying to be racist or make it a race thing just my genuine thoughts, i love yanks, brits, irish, scotts, even canalads and most Europeans (except french guys french guys are fucking cunts frenchettes are qt af tho), basically white nations but im not trying to make it a white thing just sayin i embrace cultures that are similar to my own and literally founded mine
on the other hand tourists from asia, middle east, africa cant fucking stand them i dont understand their bullshit and i dont respect them, of all the cultures these people are just so goddamn rude and alien they cause way more shit than their worth and leave all our national parks looking like dump's which is fucking infuriating
I started learning Korean this week as I hope to visit in the next few year5s.
You would be shocked how easy fruits are to learn, they sound very much the same in English.
I can say Habibi in Arabic which means sweet/beloved I think
Not exactly. Those photos were of North Tehran where the rich people lived. It's still like this today in North Tehran, google "rich kids of Tehran". These are the same suburbs. Does this picture look indicative of life in Iran today? Of course not. Iran has a huge wealth gap between the rich and poor, just as it did in the 70's.
My family are mostly from the farming areas in rural Iran, which are still poor. Much better than what it was like in the 70's but still poor today. A lot of the Shah's supporters fled to the USA and tell tall stories of what Iran was like in the 70's but its nonsense. Nothing has changed that much
Littering is never acceptable and highly disrespectful but unfortunately when I visited Dugi Otok in Croatia (n island)
It was the yachts throwing rubbish overboard which messed up the stunning beaches.
I wish!
Thank you for informing me, as the photos do make the rounds of social media and it's interesting.
Are these rich kids of Tehran practicing Muslims?
I'm not sure if I can I think he tried to ban Iranians I'm not sure if it happened or not. I've been to UK already as a tourist for a few weeks.
Quran is nonsensical in English I think. It's poetry in Classical Arabic, it loses its beauty and translation when read in another language. If you want to learn about Islam, the good and the bad, you're better off picking up a book about the religion itself rather than trying to read the Quran. It's a very dry book when read out of it's poetry, very repetitive and nonsensical. I'm not particularly religious myself but it actually is quiet nice in classical arabic, the language it was written in.
Try Scotland next time! You will like us here and there is so much to do.
I study about the garden of Paradise with Iblis in Islamic and he is in the garden with a peacock.
He speaks to Moses but I am not sure if that is official scripture.
What I like most about Islam, is that Muhammed adored cats and would cut off his sleeve rather than waking a sleeping cat
and it is said that if a woman is a prostitute but she gives a thirsty animal water, she is forgiven.
Most of them believe in God and call themselves Muslims but they don't pray or go to mosque, or observe bans on alcohol or follow any of the traditions. That is pretty normal in Iran. About half the country hates the theocracy but most people still identify as Muslim despite living as westerners. The other half of the country are practicing muslim who mostly don't like the theocracy either. About 10-20% of the country thinks the theocracy is great and nothing is wrong.
what color are they?
I'm a dick to all tourists
I'm kind of greenish yellow brown in the summer and white in winter
My wife really wants to see Ireland and Scotland they're high on her list. I want to see the british museum again so we will go in one trip to see all. I hope in the next 5 years.
So it's like Israel ideologically?
British Museum is a must see. Scotland has a Da Vinci collection on show at the moment.
You must bring your wife, she would love it. Our universities are steeped in history.
I'm not sure. Iran is a complex mix that can generally divided as rural vs urban and people born before 80's and people born after. Of those two groups, one wants reforms to something looking more western, and the other identifies more with the theocracy and is more concerned with Israel and the USA in the region. I'm not sure what Israeli people are like.
Does it bother you the racism on Jow Forums and misconceptions about people from the middle east?
I will eventually. I have to go now but it was nice to talk to you. take care
no. Iranians aren't bothered with racism against us. it's something we are used to from our neighbors already.
Take care friend. Blessings to you and your wife.
I live in the middle of nowhere.
We don't get tourists.
For all I know, everything past the county line may be like the background in a video game. It looks like it goes on forever, but there's really nothing.
I think the only time I've ever really overtly been an asshole to an obvious foreigner was one time voting, while walking back to the car there was a muslim lady with her kid that pretty much kept getting in my way (this wasnt a corridor, open space) with the kid seemingly dropping things in front of me and taking his time to move etc
so I said
FUCK off you little SHIT
and scared the fuck out of the kid along with the hijab
Instantly regretted it because its just a kid
but only a little
Those dudes are hot
I do desu. Always wanted to do a bbq tour down there. Are you guys ok with jews?
They have to be now.
Cool pantsuits
Was there recently and was treated with the utmost hospitality. But I also loved and respected the whisky. Scots are damn proud of their national drink and were pouring me top shelf drams wherever I went. Can't wait to go back.
Don't go to ireland, you'll get the side eye and whispers and they don't call england england, they call it "the other place"
Sanna Bay
Tourists around here are just out of state fellow countrymen. A lot of boomers. Fuck they always stand on the walkway and block it where I work so I have to say excuse me like twenty times when I'm using the dolly. They're so goddamn oblivious they never hear me.
So glad you were treated well and aye I had a few wee drams yesterday - for the first time in years! It was the spring Equinox!
You are so welcome back, we look forward to your return.
>american flag in the background
Is that a bunch of Irish Americans? I hope not, they'd be even more annoying then.
ooo
Friendly but i constantly remind them they are just visitors..
We're all visitors of earth for a time
But to your original question, I treat tourists well as long as they're respectful (most jet-set people are), but most of the tourists where I live are Chinese folk who travel in insect swarms. They don't really interact with their surroundings and treat the place like a living zoo.
When a real human tourist asks a question or seems generally interested, they get all the help they need. For the past fifteen years I rarely see visitors from Europe
I was fortunate to visit Sarasota beach as child, where I was able to collect shark teeth and I was big into sharks as a child. Very magical.
Would love to visit more of the states, flights can be pricey but New York is more affordable these days.
I have family in Florida and Boston. My great grandfather was one of the Empire State builders.
I'm in Alaska and I did tourist stuff to pay for college. I'm always friendly, mostly helpful, but the one thing is funny is that if you approach a foreigner on a trail and your on a bike they move to the wrong side of the trail because they drive differently over there.
Did you ever meet Sarah Palin?
Great image. Alaskans seem hardy as fuck.
Very nice. Usually approach them with the classic "Hey how are you where you from" and tourists will starts talking like chatterbox.
But, the germans are odd. I met a german on 4 occasion and all of them are autistic and acts smug which adds to my dislikes towards them . My favourite tourists so far are the fucking leaf. They're so nice to local people here.
You must have the best fruit in Malaysia.
Depends on who it is. Sweaty Euro backpackers and trust fund americans trying to retire in a poorer country at 25 trigger me.
Actually yes, a March of Dimes Race. If you take out all politics and judge her solely as a person she's extremely nice and personable.
Heard amazing things about Vietnam. Which region is most beautiful?
Love Palin.
israelis aren't real jews
her name is an anagram of Rabbit
Lapin
TOURISTS ARE TECHNICALLY INVADERS.
