Buddhism has no gods but Buddhists definitely worship gods. The gods they worship are often local deities or hindu gods. I was pretty confused about it at first but when I visited Sri Lanka I learned a good bit about it all. The Buddha isn’t a god but being a Buddhist doesn’t mean you don’t worship gods.
