Also, you need specialist cleaners to clean up the major crime scene, before any normal tradespeople are allowed in. But they don't start until after the police have photographed everything, and done a bunch of CSI shit. All this would not be completed in five days!

It could. There didn't have to be a major investigation, it's not like he's getting off the hook for that, all they had to was take some snap pics, take out the bodies and clean the carpets. Fixing the drywall would be the slowest part of the process but even that is way faster than 5 days and who knows there could still be bullet holes around.
