Anybody who does a private interview with a “news” correspondent on that network should expect the video to be edited to fit whatever story they want to tell. This is the problem with conflating “comedy” with news and politics. All Comedy Central has to do is say the editing was done for comedy or satire purposes and should not be taken seriously.
