I've already called and talked to the prison to be sure he was able to receive letters, I was told that she knows of no inmate by that name (Oh, okay) immediately followed by a lecture telling me that if I write anything "how do you say....offensive" that the letter will not be given.
It's very important that he hear from us. Given that he sacrificed everything, and currently resides in a concrete cell, he needs a bit of a morale boost. Ofc, I have to speak in a way that he will understand but they won't. Which shouldn't be too hard given that the only people that understand us is us. I'm considering mentioning letting him know where I'm from by rambling about my hobby of basketweaving and my preference to *insert some random half knot here* weaving as opposed to *insert infinity knot* here. Do you think he'll understand the reference or am I overthinking it?
On a side note, in order to put money into his Trust we need to have his Personal Reference Number which only he is allowed to give us. This is another reason for writing him. Anyway, what do you lads think?

The problem IIRC is that he doesn't have a lawyer so it's hard to get a lot of informations.

The department of corrections received all the letters, they forward them to the appropriate prison so transfers won't be an issue. I know we can send him minor items as long as he fills out a request form for these items. He's allowed a fan which we can buy him, they'll have a tech (translate as corrections officer) inspect the items and the fee for this will be taken out of his Trust. Until I'm able to get in contact with him, assuming he'll respond at all, I'm just going to keep it simple. Letters of correspondence and general chatter. Nothing relating to any type of news, no over the top memes etc. Just something he can read to pass the time. He can also give written permission for someone to be given his PRN, so I'm going to try to talk him into doing that if he doesn't want to write.

PRN is his Personal Reference Number he would have been given during intake. We're required to have this number to ensure that the funds we send are put into the right trust. But because of their privacy laws for inmates they can't give me this number, they suggested that I have him give it to me when we're in contact next or that he can provide written permission for the number to be released to someone. Without the number, we can't send him shekels.

He's very vague over the phone, and says it's about "an incident that occured in so and so month." The only thing I could think of that happened that month, was me getting banned from the PoD website.
I reluctantly agree and meet the pair of agents over coffee in a public spot, and they basically ask me questions about my background and who I'm talking to, as somebody made a report on me that I'm a terrorist, or talking to terrorists.

I have gotten a PO box in the US before with USPS and they require a driver's license and one other form of ID, or bill to your house can't remember exactly which I think I used my DL and a student ID, but you definitely needed a government issued ID and one other thing, so if they want to track you all they have to do is contact USPS. You will need at least a fake ID to be safe, and check your local places to see what else you would potentially need to falsify. I just got one because I live around niggers and don't trust important mail to be left next to the street with a bunch of niggers walking by throughout the day, so I didn't care so much about using my real info.
