Iran claims it hacked Netanyahu family phones, Israeli PM points finger at political rival
A senior Iranian official has claimed that Tehran hacked the phones of the Israeli PM’s family members – contradicting denials by Benjamin Netanyahu, who accused a political rival of spreading rumors because he was hacked himself.
Iranian intelligence services have managed to hack and access “all the information” on the mobile phones of the Netanyahu family, including wife Sara and son Yair, according to prominent cleric Ayatollah Ahmad Alamolhoda, who confirmed Saudi media reports. The breach allegedly happened several months ago and it’s not known what data was taken. The PM himself does not carry a cell phone, so it is believed his family members were targeted in an effort to eavesdrop on his conversations.
yah I was in that thread too but I didn't discuss that report. seems vaguely familiar..but there's so much daily news/noise I don't commit it all to memory

"Graffiti about New Zealand shooting left at U.S. mosque fire: media" - Police are investigating a fire at a Southern California mosque on Sunday as a possible arson and hate crime after fresh graffiti on the driveway mentioned the mass shootings at two mosques in New Zealand, local media reported.
Police and firefighters were called to the Islamic Center of Escondido, north of San Diego, about 3:15 a.m. (1015 GMT) on Sunday about a fire that blackened an outside wall, the San Diego Tribune and other media reported.
Congregants at the centre smelled smoke, spotted the fire and put it out before it caused serious damage, before firefighters arrived, media reported.
Oman allows US military to use its airports, ports
Oman has signed an agreement with the United States that would allow American ships and warplanes to take advantage of its ports and airports, according to officials. The “framework agreement” is aimed at bolstering “Omani-American military relations,” Oman news agency said on Sunday. The US forces will take advantage from the facilities offered at some of the sultanate’s ports and airports “during visits of the US military vessels and aircrafts, particularly in the port of Duqm,” the statement said. Duqm port is in southern Oman on the Arabian Sea and around 500km (310 miles) from the Strait of Hormuz. Iran has repeatedly threatened to block the strait due to tensions with Sunni-ruled Gulf nations. The US-Omani deal was signed by the defense ministries of both countries, AFP reports

>“Isis has explained away the loss of its caliphate in two ways,” said Maher. “The first is by pointing to divine providence and saying that it is the will of God. Either God is punishing or testing the caliphate by afflicting it with trials, but either way, they tell their supporters, the only suitable response is to double down in your devotion because that’s what God would want.”
They just controlled parts of two countries, tens of thousands of followers and billions in funds. Surely this is just a test.
