I had to create a social media presence on LinkedIn for an online business my friend is starting. You have access to the full features of the site only after you have over 30 "connections". So I just sent a request to about 100 random people and 48 of them accepted.

But also on the home page, they auto update with pointless shit I have no interest in, including adverts. The other day was an appalling race mixing advert for a shoe store in my country. It autoplayed with the audio on. They really want you to see the ad.

Hell, even old busy people in my profession found the time to send and email or even bring me in to say “I can’t help you but A: here’s someone who can, now go bother them, or B: here’s somewhere else to try.”
