Is there a collapse of the social fabric in America or does the 24/7 news cycle just make it seem that way? Friendships and social interactions just aren't the same anymore.
>Fewer people attend church >Nobody invites people over for dinner >Nobody hangs out at malls, arcades, etc. >Dating is all about casual sex >I don't see kids randomly riding bikes through neighborhoods with their friends anymore >Politics is a much bigger part of people's personality or identity >Ghosting is now the default way to just not deal with anyone you don't want to bother with >Nobody has any real friends anymore; just lots of acquaintances
Every generation complains that things are going to shit. Is this just our version of that or are things really different this time? I've tried to bring things back to how they were among my friend group. I would send birthday cards by mail, invite people out to lunch, etc. I was pretty shocked at how often people would react negatively to these gestures.
It's true, but it has more to do with the fact that there wasn't really anything to do in the past.
Picture 1945-ish. No computer, no internet, no TV. The only thing you have is work and sitting at home with your family. So you get to know your neighbors, you have BBQ's, you play cards, etc.
These days a person can entertain themselves 24/7 without ever taking their face away from the screen.
Dylan Taylor
everybody is out jacking off to internet porn 7 days a week and no one stops the porn industry from creasing a porn addiction for consumers.

I still have kids and people who do all those things. But I also live in an upper middle class white suburb.

Yes , we are the beautifull ones.
Brayden Adams
Things are definitely different this time around. When I was a kid, I wanted to know how Rome fell. I wanted to know why things like the Salem witch trials were allowed to happen. Now I know, and just with it were over with.
Ayden Martinez
I think the fewer people attending Church is an evolution of spirituality in that many still believe but don't see Church as being necessary. I for example am a Christian, but I don't get much out of Church, so I rarely go. I don't like some pastor or priest telling me what to think. I get a lot more out of just reading the text, studying it, reading different perspecctives and praying in private.
I worship and believe in God and Jesus Christ, I just don't go to church to do it.
Josiah Cox

it´s almost as if keynsianism allowed to leech from future generations by manipulating interest rates and that causes housing bubbles , and that causes unbuyable houses , and that causes declines in marriages and that causes declines in fertility and that causes a need for immigration and that causes a need for gibs as bribes and that causes the total takeover of society by welfare state politics and that left the society at the mercy of entropy.
Things are just changing bud. Society has always been in a constant state of flux. You can either embrace it and live and find your happy or you can seeth and dwell.

You can’t speak your mind anymore without some threat of violence from socialists, who are mostly protected by the law for being “morally right.”
Social media is also dying, which isn’t surprising.

Nothing's different. We've been complaining about how the current young generation is shit literally since we began recording such things.
Ancient Greeks would complain that "kids these days" had their heads in the clouds and were addicted to reading things and not actually experiencing things.
The only thing I see dangerous about "this go around" is the party politics, but even then that's really only an American thing. As the boomers start dying off I think we might start seeing a shift away from such vile politics as America's political landscape re-balances closer to the center and we find more common ground.

Most reactions were similar to yours, most would ignore me. I wouldn't even get a thank you or any acknowledgement that I had sent them anything. A few told me it was weird or creepy to send a card by mail. The worst reaction I got was by a friend who said it seemed stalkerish or that it "acted as a subtle threat by confirming that you know my address". I don't remember exactly how it was phrased, but the act of sending a card is hostile because it says "I know where you live". Dude was fucking nuts. He told me where he lived. He was more than happy to brag about it when he first bought his house.
Lucas Ross
It's sad. You cant even find friends anymore who will build each other up and be there for each other. In America I don't know if its deteriorated due to materialism, breakdown of the family, low trust society, or some other reason.
Kayden Stewart
I think you need to get off this board for a month or two bud. There is a loving vibrant world out there if you want to see it. I hope things get better for you and that you have a week filled with beauty.

I know what you mean about the ghosting. It is so prevalent today and it’s crazy. Now it’s just expected that someone will just stop responding if they don’t want to get together.
Also, with social networks, i feel like making new friends is harder and not easier. People want to hang out with those in their established group and not really branch out. I felt this hard when I first went to college a few years ago. Most people just hung out with their group they had in high school and it felt closed off from the start.
Daniel Wilson
you're not alone in this. ive noticed it too. that's why im glad i have my fiance, shes like a best friend that i get to fuck and be inlove with. both of us are completely friendless and introverted. the main difference being she has A LOT of social anxiety and hates everyone while i dont really hate anyone and got over my SA some years ago.
but ye, families have gone to shit and it seems impossible to make real friends nowadays.

fragile people unable to handle interacting with others. I kind of wonder if this has its roots in the overparenting that began in the 90s. Parents spent too much effort protecting their kids from anything, that they didn't have to learn how to socialize on their own. As a result, now we have a generation of adults who can't understand social queues.
Christopher Green
Anyone who hasn't realized that (((((rap music))))) is the soundtrack to cultural marxism yet needs to be shot. My childhood was fucking great, and you know what I and most everyone else listened to? Either pop-punk, emo, maybe some douchy corporate rock (we secretly looked down on those people, but it was acceptable) and then the "cool" kids listened to their dad's music (Zeppelin, Ac/DC, Black Sabbath). All of the music was WHITE. If you listen to rap then you are part of the problem >b-b-but, Drake goes in. It takes a lot of tale..... No no.....no no no........it's garbage. All of it. Including Tupac, Biggie, Mos Def, any and all of it. It's trash.
Charles Brooks
This kind of talk is gas lighting at this point. Open your eyes fag, everything is trash. I live in a ((((city))))) though, so who knows what you fags have been experiencing where ever you are.....fuck I need out of this shit trap.

>>Fewer people attend church church is fucking gay and people have a wider array of social functions available >>Nobody invites people over for dinner maybe not you >>Nobody hangs out at malls, arcades, etc. blacks ruined them anywhere the bus routes go >>Dating is all about casual sex it has been like that for almost 30 years >>I don't see kids randomly riding bikes through neighborhoods with their friends anymore where do you live? I have seen plenty of kids on bikes the past week and I'm in Wisconsin >>Politics is a much bigger part of people's personality or identity media endlessly pushing things like Black Lives Matter and millions of illiterate 150 cm flat-nosed goblins storming our border being a good thing was bound to polarize people >>Ghosting is now the default way to just not deal with anyone you don't want to bother with that's usually how getting rejected or breakups work. >>Nobody has any real friends anymore; just lots of acquaintances again, this sounds like a personal issue. maybe join some other activity than boring shit like church with a bunch of octogenarians

I noticed this as well. It’s one of the scariest studies I’ve ever seen, it’s implication is that any society free from mass struggle inevitably degenerates into extinction.
The term “Day 600” has taken personal significance to me.
Also, wow a china poster. You don’t see that everyday.

I had it rough for a long time. For you my advice is that you can't pick yourself up if you're dragging others down. I hope absolutely nothing but the best for you.

Yet we've endured massive increases in information flow before.
"Fake news"? Early radio. Politics? Civil War. Being hermits? Rural life pre-automobile.
Yet society has rarely collapsed, only shifted from one form to another (e.g. "fall" of the British Empire saw the rise of the United States). War and disease are what is really worrisome, but death and destruction from both are at historical lows.
Carson Reyes
a break-up can be devastating for both of you, be careful user. I’m in this kind of relationship too.

Connor Reyes
you're getting warmer. its dopamine saturated. click, click, click, tab, tab...instant gratification leads to addiction. people are numbed to dopamine. go on a dopamine fast or break away from porn and social media for 3 months and you'll feel a noticeable difference. its also diet too, the majority of westerners eat like shit. soon as i started eating the way my greek islander ancestors did i begun to feel a million times better. also regular exercise helps a lot but diet is more important.
ah yeah, and stop watching television, it's designed to dull your brain and make you feel demoralized.
You cant take on the whole worlds sadness, its too heavy. Those people in those tent cities because they're happy. Most of those people have so much pain and just want to bury it. It's when you hate them that you lose yourself.
If the world doesn't come to you, go to it. Find something, a somewhere you are happy. My place is logging into elite dangerous and flying around before bed, it used to be my morning cigarette with my plants on the deck before I quit.
Projecting a lot there user. Normal people only jerk off a few times a month at most.

Just part and parcel of living in a individualistic, multiracial society run by Jews.
im aware of this senpai. im really not interested in going after other women if things dont work out between us. i really got lucky and found a diamond in the rough, a girl who thinks like me. shes anti-nigger, anti-jew, red pilled on the holocaust and really follows me like im a leader. shes a bit immature and bit of a mammas girl (italian) but ive managed to mold her over the last 2 years. we really connect on an intellectual level and that's rare for me and i dont suspect ill get that with any other western women.
that being said, ive got studies (personal, not academic), my religious focus on exercise and nutrition and BJJ to fall back on if i get an unexpected kick in the guts.

no one wants to talk anymore, not even on the internet. its worse still my entire family is fragmented.
>tfw remember the late 90s and early 2000s when your dysfunctional family was function relative to today
the internet and mostly social media ruined everything for literally ALL of human existence, we had to make an effort to interact with one another. You had to walk to people's homes, and organize meetings with your friends. As you can see, it was much much more tedious but on the positive side, you created real, honest friendships with one another.
Now it's all backwards, the walk to your friend's home turned into liking someones status, and having friends turned into how many people "follow" you on instagram. These new ways of socializing release a significant amount of dopamine, hence why people do it, but it deprives you of the physical connections that humans need. You can't replace talking in person, and your brain observing your friend's body language, with today's social media, it makes everyone lonelier.

Digital entertainment isn't as fulfilling as a card game with friends. This generation just doesn't know that. Technology doesn't change biology, being stationary for extended periods is unpleasant.

Don't get trapped, don't fall in that hole. There is a big wide world out there, don't cage yourself like that. Not all of those people are going to be awful, you just have to open yourself up. fun fact, that's the same difference between us conservatives and liberals. liberals are all low self esteem hence they see everything through marxist power struggles aka victim mentality.
Sebastian Turner
Technology evolved too fast for humans to keep up. It results in an advanced but cultureless society. It's unprecedented in all of history. Note that it's not a terrible thing. Humanity just needs technology and science to stagnate for a generation or two. Things are going too fast.
Carter Wilson
The problem I've seen is people go after the items that are bad either poorly informed or out right ignorant making them and the causes look stupid.
Ban on Marijuana and hemp for example was more a business decision than a health concern. Then they put out ridiculous shit like Refer Madness. All while banning all studies on it. You have the Porn industry. Started really with Hustler and Playboy. They went after the wrong items, pushed bans based on only religion and pretty weak information. Violent Rap music, completely backfired on their way of handling that one. They went after everything and that just made everything else they went after a weaker cause. Take for example Dungeons and Dragons. They went after that shit foaming at the mouth in the past. That is not even covering how they treated sports vs education and other items warping slowly over time the rebel to hero.
Isaac Stewart
my view is that things will stagnate in the near to mid term.
i was raised with a strong victim mentality. it took true hardship to get me out of that mind-set. fear is the strongest motivator in the human psyche.

technological growth is exponential. once it stagnates, it'll stagnate for eons until we evolve or require genetically modified humans to advance.,

If people had more money things would be better. Everyones just stressed out about life it seems.
we need to attack these issues from the angle of mental health and quality of life
drugs >being a stoner isn't a meaningful life porn >cite data on how sex-rate and low marriage rate. destorys families violent rap music >multiculturalism and requires people spend their 20s finding themselves aka discoering white culture inside them.
video game addition should be added to the list of problems.

>If people had more money things would be bette NOOOOOO
This is the entire problem. People think money = community. They are mutually exclusive. You can be very happy being poor, on the beach, at a bonfire, laughing with friends aka when you're 14. Money doesnt replace community and all our politiaans do is talk about economy and money when the real issue is community and culture.

i would put video game addiction under 'digital addiction'. normies and older people get just as easily hooked on mobile games and social media. my fiances mother is on her phone ALL FUCKING DAY playing shit like candy crush and blabbering on facebook messenger. my girl was hooked on liking shit on instagram for ages until she finally snapped out of it after i redpilled her on kike manipulation.
Adam Jenkins
I understand that anger. I know it's there to mask the hurt and maybe you just laugh it off as just trolling. Most people on this forum can identify with that. It might even seem like an impossible task, but I've done, others have done it, and you can do it. I hope you have the best week ever starting tomorrow.

Let me guess you think because they used mice that it wont give us an reliable behavior to predict human behavior? Because that's why mice are used, they have brain structures extremely similar to humans. But whatever be a faggot or something, you clearly want to get something out but like a woman you can't just say without making a scene.
Leo Morgan
i wanna point out she has an addiction because she neglects other areas of her life, its very difficult to pry her away from her phone even for 15 minutes. my fiance has a huge blood clot in her leg and i had to pressure her to beg her mother to take her to the hospital. her mother just wanted to drool in front of her phone screen all day and kept making the excuse it was nothing serious. well turns out it was serious, her leg was fucked and she needed to walk on crutches. the bloody woman irritates me for this. even one of her cats needs to go to a vet appointment because his ear is full of shit but she keeps putting it off because the phone is more important.
Justin Hernandez
Well most people are materialistic hollow people, when money is a problem its a big problem.
Kevin Edwards
I feel it has more to do with the society of litigation that sprang up in the 70's and 80's, then went full retard in the 90's.
It was one thing when being embarrassed in public just meant you had to be embarrassed for awhile. It's a pretty different story when vast swaths of society are out to sue you or blackmail you.
Grayson Jackson
This.
I had dozens and dozens of friends/acquaintances in college. I have virtually none now. Some instances were my fault, but most were not. And after realizing the problem, no matter how hard I tried, I just could not get any new or old friends to maintain meaningful communication. I'm honestly at a loss for words every single day. The surprising thing is that the most loyal few people have been girls I've dated semi successfully after swallowing the red pill. So hopefully there's a white pill for you.
In general you might be right, but the specific example given was from a a gym. There is no shortage of people at gyms who will give really fucking stupid advice. For every good guy that wants to help improve you form, there are a dozen idiots who also want to give advice but themselves misuse equipment and have form so terrible that I actually look around to see if staff is nearby because I'm expecting them to injury themselves at any second.
