It always has been, but now I think some people have snapped or are going to snap. Many had placed their hopes that the House would impeach and find something even Republicans in the Senate would vote to convict on, removing Trump from office. Clearly that won't happen.
Now it's all about trying to put Trump in prison once he's out of office. I also doubt that will happen because any of these "crimes" are dubious and because prosecuting Trump for some of what they accuse him of doing would mean a lot of prominent Democrats (especially in NY state) going away- if there was any consistency; which of course there isn't.
