Simpsons was never about topical humor like South Park. That's the major reason the first 9 or so seasons remain so good. It was about quality writing and the interactions between funny and engaging characters. Now all the characters are interchangeable and only exist as a delivery mechanism for poorly timed jokes and wacky Family Guy shit.

Lesson to take away from this? Women aren't funny.

season 11 is the last good season

It started off fine mocking the female reboots, but that was about it. They made it sound like the reboot was a good thing just because Bart laughed.

For me it was when celebrities started turning up pointlessly. It started some years before Paul and Linda McCartney flogged their line of vegetarian meals on that episode
