Does anyone have any good arguments for how Yang arrived at his $1000/month figure for the UBI? Why is that figure just right, rather than too high, or perhaps even too low?
At what point does raising taxes cancel out the benefits of UBI? Certainly there would be a lot more spending if people received $2,000/month, rather than $1,000 - but you'd need to raise additional tax revenue to pay for that increased UBI.
Does that additional tax being levied have negative effects exceeding increased UBI payment? or is UBI infinitely scaleable? What would happen if everyone received as much money as the genie gives to the boy in this cartoon? could UBI eliminate income inequality?

If anything UBI will increase wealth inequality. Low time preference races will save money.
