What's everyone's opinion of ZeroHedge? It's my go to news source most of the time

Any news source the Swamp Creatures threaten to stifle/de-platform/shutdown is worth reading. Zero hedge is worth reading.

One of the few normie sites I respect and visit daily. I suspect many anons do so. If you read the comments, that much becomes obvious after a few comments I think anons forget it's not Jow Forums and the Jow Forums speak comes out.

Mostly respectable red pilled journalism. They are notorious bears on the economy though. Don't listen to them on investments. They are Eastern European in origin, so understand they are biased too. They fucking hate Tesla too for some reason.

I agree, but I learned to overlook the doom porn and just focus on the analysis, facts, and opinions provided.

ZeroHedge is great. I owe a lot of my knowledge on monetary policy and trading to having read their articles for ~10 years. Of course, the contributing writers and stuff they aggregate varies in quality. But there's a reason they were one of the few sites that New Zealand banned recently at the ISP level...they are red-pill dense.

The car manufacturer? I don't blame them.

I used to check them in 2010/2011, but got tired of their relentless alarmism and flat-out wrong predictions. For example, they spent all of 2011 screaming that Greece was about to implode and "destroy" the EU and the world economy. That didn't happen. A typical story would be something like [THIS OBSCURE INDEX] HAS GONE PARABOLIC!!! RECESSION INCOMING!!!

There hasn't been a recession in the US in full fucking decade. Zero Hedge was completely wrong about that, and for years on end.

I get it, but their Tesla coverage has an irrational tone to it. And they run at least one anti-Tesla story a day which stinks of stock manipulation to me. They are well away from the SEC's reach and have to make money somehow. Also ignore everything on there that mentions gold - as they are sponsored by gold shills and don't do a great job of identifying sponsored content.

Any company that lives off tax subsidies, has a ceo that reigned over mass theft from millions of people & who also fucked Johnny depp's wife in his own house can get shilled against to hell & back for all I care.

I'be been going there since 2010. They're the only consistently contrarian voice out there.

They've called fifty of the last one recessions. So not a bad track record by the standards of financial publications.

It introduced me to Epsilon theory which is good. Otherwise its overly doomish but I trust it more than I do CNN which is putting the bar admittedly low.
