Yeah the numbers on Jow Forums last time I looked which was before the domain split was something like 22M unique visitors per month and about 50% of the traffic goes to Jow Forums which makes it the largest board. It went from a contamination board to help clear up /b/ which historically has been the biggest board here, to being larger.
I think in most part because a lot of us oldfags started out posting on /b/ and eventually got bored of that and found politics more interest in the long run, it has more gravitas and real world consequences.
