Hirarchies are unavoidable, but do they really need to be as extreme as they are right now? Bezos makes 4 millions times what an average Amazon worker makes. There is no way that he works 4 million times harder. The wealth distribution can be equitable than it is not while still allowing people to get rich if they wanted.

Because there's no way to realistically enforce that criteria in any system. Nepotism is highly prevalent in systems like communism and socialism.

There is no system in which people will not cheat their way into the top unless we give up rule of mankind to emotionless perfect machines.

Communism was rife with corruption, party members always value their friends and family above anyone else. It's worse than capitalism because the system itself doesn't encourage profitability or productivity.

Capitalism does the exact same thing, but at least it appeals to human greed to make those with skill and talent rise more often simply because they produce more and are more efficient, and thus generate more profit.
