You can be gay and Mormon, there's nothing wrong with it. You just can't have gay sex or get married to someone of the same gender. If you're gay, but you repent and remain celibate no one will mind. Some gay Mormons marry others of the opposite gender despite being gay just to remain in the Church and have families.
