Theoretically everyone had the same rights and access to the same resources, but in reality only the elite within the party and their families had access to the best amenities. They changed from a system where you had an open plutocracy to a system where the elites were even more powerful relative to the general populous.

Rich billionares will easily exchange their money in favor of global socialist-sounding reforms because they actually hate the idea of "capitalism". Liberal democracy actually has laws that disencourage oligarchies because they force the very rich to compete with other rich people under a common market. Under a more socialist sytem, being in charge of the state is all that matters so as long as you have it in with the party you and your family can stay powerful for eternity.

Venezuela is a good example of how to replace a plutocracy of old rich capitalists by a military oligarchy. They even have a nice populist rethoric to convince foreign socialist mongoloids like you to support them as well. This is exactly how they operate.

If you know what real estate is about then you see it's primarily about cashflow but also strategic control of assets that won't go down down in value when the next financial crisis hits.
Anyways in capitalism the gov provides incentives in form of tax advantages to manage this stuff. communism is about abolishing private property and won't allow privitization but also won't have the ability to channel investments by simply changing the tax rules
