A lot of women are switches, or simply need the right encouragement to become dom. A lot of women are submissive because A) it's the more common preference and B) because they believe (somewhat rightfully) that it's expected of them. As a Dom (male) I'd agree with this statement. While I've had subs who naturally preferred a completely submissive role, more than a couple were naturally switches, knowingly or unknowingly. With a bit of guidance, tailored experiences, and by finding proper playmates for them, they were able to expand their horizons on D/s. One became quite the domme herself.

I've always been fairly dominant in general, though not necessarily firm in conviction. D/s is a spectrum and we all have qualities of both.
