Okay so I'm 19 and I'm the bassist in an original band that does our own progressive rock, jazz fusion, metal, and some other stuff but also some crowd pleasing material (country pop, easy normie rock, etc.) to get more gigs. Drummer is 20, guitarist is 20, vocalist / frontman is 18.
>inb4 pathetic manchild
It's basically a part time job. Average is 3 gigs a week.
Anyways, our guitarist started dating our vocalist / frontman's 15 year old sister. Understandably, this has created a rift and our vocalist is now beyond fed up with it. He threatened to go to the police and our guitarist just laughed at him and then left practice to presumably go fuck his sister some more. Our vocalist tried to pull me and the drummer into it but we told him we aren't getting involved so then he stormed out too.
Should I take a stand or something on this? Cause now he's refusing to show up to our next gig unless something is done. Me and the drummer are on the edge of quitting and starting our own thing anyways but it'd take a while to get gig ready again.
Okay so I'm 19 and I'm the bassist in an original band that does our own progressive rock, jazz fusion, metal...
let John and Yoko do their thing and don't butt in.
Your band won't last anyways.
See: Lou Diamond of JANK
If anyone finds out your band is fucked anyways. Just abandon ship.
Next time just write this:
>So I'm in a band, and the 20 year old guitarist is dating the vocalist's sister, who is 15. This has created a rift between the vocalist and guitarist, and I don't really know where I stand or if I should say anything.
Anyway, you and the drummer need to start now.
Take out the "So" at thebeginning. That's a crutch word.
I figured it was time to start something new because neither of them is letting up. I'll ask the drummer what he thinks about splitting.
I have to ask though, what about the gig we have planned for Wednesday? It would reflect poorly on not just the band, but us as individual musicians, if we cancelled right now. They've already sold a little over 100 tickets for people to see us at this venue.
I feel like I should see if I can get the vocalist to show up just for the ones we had planned for this week, cancel the ones we've had booked for a few weeks in advance, but then tell him we understand and we'll be splitting.
It's a dick move of you to have this guy show up so you can get paid when you refuse to step in on the illicit relationship that is the root cause of the entire situation. Hope he doesn't show up desu.
I mean, he's gonna get paid too and be a professional about the whole thing? He can deal with it in his own time with his sister and the guitarist, but it's not just his ass on the line here.
>he's gonna get paid too
Do you really think he cares about the money right now?
>and be a professional about the whole thing?
>but it's not just his ass on the line here.
You are one selfish mother fucker, and that's why he shouldn't show.
if anyone is being selfish it's the vocalist.
This teen bop drama is literally none of OP's business.
>I need you to stop seeing my sister or I'm done with the band
>lol no
>Guys, don't you think this is fucked up?
>I don't really care, it's none of my business. Btw can you show up and play with the guy who's fucking your sister? I gotta get paid lol
Yeah, nah. OP can forget about getting the vocalist on board.
Everyone's got something to complain about on this board, but the reality is, we've worked hard for a long time to get where we are right now. Our EP is being looked at by record labels, or was considering we're not gonna last now, but everyone still has a chance to win here as individual musicians when we split. It won't reflect well on any of us if he ditches it, and he'll damage his reputation too, just like our guitarist is hurting his reputation by fucking a 15 year old.
If they want to be children, they can, but me and the drummer have put in too much work for it to be set back by their antics. So he better fuckin show. I'm not selfish, just realistic, and he should be too. They should leave whatever quarrels they have at the door, and not blame me or the drummer for not wanting to get involved in something that's none of our business.
he doesn't get to dictate whom she fucks.
Again, you're not going to get him to come back with your selfish demeanor.
>It won't reflect well on any of us if he ditches it, and he'll damage his reputation too
>C'mon man, your ass is on the line too! Come on so I can get paid and then quit with the drummer lol
Man the law would just love to hear that sort of reasoning.
Yeah that’s the law’s job since she’s underage
I was fucking 15 year olds when I was 20 and their parents knew. Get a life dude
your band is fucked, find another vocalist and leave the piece of shit out to rot. have yourself and the rest of your band do something equally or more disrespectful like tag teaming one of his close relatives just for kicks. the cunt is blatantly prioritizing some kiddie pussy over his "friends" and their money/possible aspirations so he deserves a bullet, even ignoring the fact that it's the homies fuckin sister.
>Get a life dude
Tell that to your state and federal governments
I don't live in muttmerica where girls magically become sexually active over night on their 18th birthday.
Calm down retard
my point being that the vocalist's butthurt is none of OP's business, he should grow the fuck up.
The guy didn't rape the girl.
you going to fuck a 9 year old just because they have a desire to be sexually active and think that's acceptable?
cope harder, fuckwit.
run a knife through your empty brain you fucking trog
have sex, loser
pedo defense squad out in full force
do the world a favour and castrate yourselves
>teenagers
>pedo
a 20 year old is a teenager?
go jerk it to children you fucking degenerate
no, a 15 year old is, homo.
pro-tip: high school girls are hot.
