I'm really tired of people selling themselves out.
>I'll see fans of questionable celebrities due to character and/or lack of talent and they always argue "Yeah well they're rich"
>People on social media always try to appear perfect and rich
>People here asking which jobs make the most money
>People doing mundane shit i YouTube to get children to spend their time and parents money "don't forget to like and subscribe to my channel and donate to my patreon and buy my merch" which is a shitty printed tshirt or mug
>companies take everything popular and try to market it back to us
>reddit threads always asking people if they'd do degrading things for a few million dollars and everyone says yes
I feel sick about it. I know you need money to survive, I know people want to avoid being used and working like a slave. I went through such hell trying to survive and kept thinking how richness solves so many problems.
But it seems people just care about having endless money and useless shit, and not really appreciating nature, appreciating what they have, doing things because of passion. Everything is just corporate marketing and shallow showing off. I don't use social media and very limited time on any chatting media... but it still is everything around me.
because looks, money, and power are all that matter in the real world.

Welcome to Capitalism where greed and power is the #1.

>Why do people only care about money and fame?
Simple answer, people are lazy, want freedom and want to be loved.
If you have money, you do not need to work a day in your life, you can do whatever you want or not do anything at all and fame makes people adore you, love you which is everyones deep desire, to be loved.
You cannot stop this because it is born out of innocent needs.
As for companies well do you really want me to answer that? Seems kinda obvious don't you think?
Isaiah Gray
For manipulation of people sure. But to me they mean nothing. I want enough to survive and be safe. I find this culture broken and sad. I really really hate it to the point I wish it would all disappear.

Cause of Jews. Jews ruin everything.

Instead of a circle jerk even more masturbatory than 15 yos learning about communism for the first time, you guys could be doing something better with your time.
Or at least, you could not clog the board. This is not advice, so this has no place here.
Gabriel Lewis
Your post is even more useless. The only one that was insulting and offered nothing. If you don't like the post go find another one.
Isaac Campbell
Hmm, because if it isn't Capitalism it's Communism. Americunt confirmed lol

>Fame Wanting fame is kind of low IQ, because with it comes many pitfalls, like it creating narcissistic tendencies, paranoia, dissociative disorders. Having to avoid the paparazzi who want a picture of you taking a shit to sell to TMZ. Just being a public figure seems like ass especially if you're viewed in a negative light because that shit will trickle into your day to day life and interactions with others.
>Money Well cash is king is this world. Having enough money can keep you out of jail, attract the opposite sex, and let you live a comfortable life on your own terms (within reason for all three of course). You also have to keep in mind, that most people barely have $400 in their bank account at any time, and are living paycheck to paycheck and this isn't accounting for having mouths to feed and a roof to provide.
It's important to be able to see the game for what it is whether you decide to play it or not (like you have any choice). I agree with you though wholeheartedly, nature and the little things aren't appreciated enough sometimes. Especially in our gogo world of instant gratification and luxuries. Social media as whole even including this site is detrimental without moderation of use.

THIS
I have never been happier in my life ever than the time I was rich.
Seriously, money buys happiness, the things you can do with it, you can fully-self actualize. The sky is the limit when you have cash.
ONLY POOR PEOPLE SAY: MONEY CANT BUY HAPPINESS
It's a lie poor people tell each other to feel better about being poor. Now that I've told you this, you can choose to remain gullible and hope that your cloak of ignorance yields enough bliss to carry you to your grace, OR you can actually do something about it and make something of your life. UP TO YOU.
Ryan Hill
Because fame secures social bonds and money is a substitute to elevate and further secure social status. Humans are social animals that compete to secure their life, by fighting directly or indirectly death or to turn it around to stay alive without struggling. It just took an unhealthy turn since society made consumerism a nonplusultra, where everyone tries to achieve success by finding a niche to be successful in, to have an easy and comfortable life and to be acknowledge for that success and genuine uniqueness.
Kayden Thomas
I agree and disagree, I think money only exacerbates who you are. When I had a fuck ton of money I was probably at my most insecure and just trying to be flashy with fashion bullshit and impress people. When I was broke a few later I felt I learned a lot looking back on everything I was doing wrong, and just thinking of all the money I've wasted on shit I don't use/need.
Then again I was just a dumb college student, and I did have that sky is the limit feeling but I think that was attributed more so to being away from home and having a tight group of friends.
Thomas Johnson
Do trip users always make blatant generalizations and assumptions? What are you even talking about?
I'm quite a bit richer than you honestly, but I didn't sell myself out to get there. My happiness only increased because my health increased by being able to sleep and eat well. But the nature of people never changes and I just can't stand it. So much shit I went through when I didn't have anything and when I do. It's the same.
I hope you learn to stop roleplaying online though, it's a bit weird.
Jaxson Phillips
sorry friend, but I'm positive you'd sing a different tune were you wearing their skin. What you are experiencing is poorfag cope, but don't fret; most of the population can empathize.
Carson Morris
dunno about fame
but how are you going to pay for your own place? how are you going to take care of whatever child that comes from you if it happens? How do you afford the shit you like? how much of a burden you are putting on your parents if you are living with them? how can you afford the projects that you are striving for (especially if you are an artist or scientists)? so your gf/bf doesn't care if you are poor as hell so long as you're there, happens more common than you think, but chances are you still want to lavish and spoil them. How can you afford food you want to eat, the internet you post on Jow Forums with, and the bed you spend your shitty day on. what about the people you want to save? they probably need money.
I want money, I need money, give me money. Not just because I need it but because I want it. It doesn't buy happiness, but it can buy the components of the things that make you happy
god doesn't exists, spirituality is a meme, and virtue cost resources. Materialism 4lyfe
William Ramirez
Agree, the only creators are us. And with our minds we can (and have) created a world that give us meaning/something to do while we wait for death to come knocking.
People want to compete and outperform others, and things like chivalry, holiness and virtue just aren't popular anymore.
Hudson Smith
Agree with op. Fuck money. All you get is a desire for even more money and constant stress and worry that you didn't make as much as you could have. personally I'd be happy with like 30k a year if I could just either not work or only work part-time. after a certain point i wouldn't even know what to do with money. and i don't desire any material possessions. travel would be nice, the kind where you go somewhere nice and walk around all day to see beautiful things, but i'd be happy with a room the size of a prison cell so long as it was private and comfy (and I could come and go as I please.)
everything i truly want can't be bought with any amount of money. the only use of money is to avoid stress, panic, and poverty. no one on social media looks happy, they just look manic and stressed. i don't use the shit and they can all go to hell with it.
Hunter Diaz
Money is great, it lets you buy shit and go to places.
Fame is kind of a catch 22. A lot of people who reach a certain level of fame realize that they've painted themselves into a corner that they can't really ever get out of and often they go insane and have very public meltdowns.
>lazy
People who aspire money and fame are anything but lazy.
Jaxson Wilson
Wanting fame is fucking retarded but money should be a no brainer, at the very least enough to live comfy or do shit you want to do until you die one way or another. How one gets all of that is obviously a very open ended question.
