i get really bad abandonment issues. especially with the people i love. i attempted after my first breakup when i was younger (i am not proud of it but at least i realized that so i could get better).

what helped me during that period was distracting myself from unwanted thoughts. spending time with friends was a good method of distraction. i would listen to music and draw to help myself. just try to distract yourself in any way possible and remember that this is not the end, there is hope for you.

My younger brother wasted all of highschool "dating" a girl because she used her mental instability to trap him and threaten him with her own self harm to scare him. He suffered trying to escape her but she would prey on his kindness and constantly berate him for not caring about her. She would force him to talk to her past midnight when he had school work to do, team up with his junior high ex to pick on him, and force herself on him. She wormed her way into his friend group and would constantly come to his house, he had nowhere safe to be because he didn't know how to handle it and our parents didn't understand how deeply she sunk her claws in his head.

Very recently my family found out how she would terrorize him, hurt him, and make him do things he didn't want to do. They're dealing with the idea of a restraining order, too.

OP, you are not innocent if they want a restraining order. You've crossed a line you won't admit here. Accept your fault in all this and leave them alone.

This is what I get for typing it out at like 2 in the morning. I meant that they don't have very many friends. You probably should look for plain janes or homely looking girls. Small town ones also work too. Girls with odd hobbies seem to also occupy this space.
