uBlock is working in normal mode but in catalog mode I guess it's doing what the other ad blockers are doing.

Because ABP is shitware that lets ad companies pay them to whitelist their ads. There's no point in using both ABP and Ublock Origin, just use the latter, it blocks everything that ABP does and more.

uBlock Origin, Adblock Plus, and uMatrix made it so I couldn't even reply in this thread. I had to turn all three off.
NoScript is still on, so I get big empty spaces where the ads are supposed to be.
I have no problems on 4channel.

I have Ublock Origin and I had the symptoms in the OP for the past three days or so. Just now was the first time I've seen images or been able to post. 4channel was fine.

It's safe. Tor uses HTTPS Everywhere and it's considered standard for basic privacy and protection. You can also try Smart HTTPS. It's newer but people are saying it's better.
