Fountain of Youth

Down the rabbit hole we go....

>Telomerase activity is exhibited in gametes and stem and tumor cells. In human somatic cells proliferation potential is strictly limited and senescence follows approximately 50-70 cell divisions. In most tumor cells, on the contrary, replication potential is unlimited.
ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21417995

>For example, cancer cells very often have mutations that lead to production of higher levels of telomerase
pdb101.rcsb.org/motm/227

So cancer is akshully the key to never ending life?

>Regenerative cells such as stem cells are frequently called upon to divide and this is why it is a good thing that these regenerative cells tend to contain high levels of an enzyme called telomerase which helps prevent the shortening of the telomeres.
blogs.scientificamerican.com/guest-blog/aging-too-much-telomerase-can-be-as-bad-as-too-little/

So stem cells have longer telomeres than normal but are still limited.

>Because the lost sequences of the telomeres at each replication cycle can be resynthesized by telomerase, the enzyme has essential functions for cell immortalization
>Recently, the telomerase RNAs of yeasts and humans have been cloned
clinchem.aaccjnls.org/content/43/5/708

So how far are we from telomerase shots?

What about nmn, is it just a meme? I hear saunas are good too

Doses of each per day pls ty .

Telomere degradation is one of the factors of aging, but there are still many more.

You're welcome.

having all your body cells divide indefinitely is a good way to get cancer
specially stomach lining and skin and other "disposable" cells

Cancer is a mutation your body creates to adapt to your toxic, unnatural lifestyle. It may not be enough to save them, but they will blame it on the cancer rather than the abused organ in your body it was trying to save. They did the same with cholesterol and heart attacks, it would be the equivalent to blaming a firefighter for the fire because he showed up to the scene to put it out. They want you to think cancer is your body attacking itself, to implant nihilism into society because people legitimately think their body might just attack itself one day for no good reason. Like the the rule of nature isn't to survive at all costs, but yeah it totally made your body self destructive. You are carnivorous, eat raw meat, raw dairy products, drink blood, eat organs, get lots of sunlight, stay away from toxic chemicals as much as you can ... disease is a result of toxicity in the body, period. Eat and live (as closely as you can) to your original ancestors. That is the key to health.

Soooo..., snake oil then?

But isn't that the point - cancer cells divide almost indefinitely without the telomeres shortening. Cancer is literally immortal.

there was an xfiles episode about a man that was made out of cancer and ate cancer to survive.
>why is this on Jow Forums

No point in living forever desu

its just a meme

every time a cell divides it has a chance to mutate, these pile up getting the risk to become a cancer cell higher
cancer is something organisms want to avoid not a goal
now for cancer it broke the telomerase mechanism and became cancer in the first place, so it doesn't give a fuck if it becomes cancer

...

Oh i disagree.

here is your fountain of youth, you can go back 7 years, more is impossible
