If you read the original article, yes they did use the skin and meat. You could rub 2 braincells together and figure out that killing a sleeping animal is much more humane than killing an awakened animal, and that killing the cubs was much more humane than leaving them to starve without a mother. I've actually been shifting my stance on factory farming but the only issue here is that they were on a preservation. Looks like they used the bear afterwards and honestly the cubs didn't stand a chance without their mom. Nothing wrong with natural hunting, period, I don't see why people would get upset at this.
