It's stupid to pretend that we have a government that would work well if *only* we could make sure the voting were accurate. You know what? Voting is never accurate. People are not good at counting votes. People make mistakes when entering their votes. Computers misread ballots. There always has been and there always will be some degree of error in counting votes. The random error of vote counting mistakes has a much larger impact on our elections than voter fraud or foreign meddling. If you want to make the system more democratic, you have to rethink the entire way that we vote in this country.
