Wat do with all this money?
Whatever your heart desires. I'd spend them on hobbies to be honest. Or nice clothing, or nice tech stuff. Maybe save up to get your kitchen or bathroom renovated, or save so much you can buy another house and rent it for more income.
You could give it all to me
buy a nintendo switch and play super smash brothers with all your nonexistent friends.
Buy a house or a mortgage, get a reliable mid-tier Jap/German car, set aside 50 grand as “fuck you” money, put the rest into savings.
Have you tried meth? That'll probably help you take care of some of that pesky money.
Start an IRA and throw a bunch of money at it for a while. Buy a house in a nice place. Eventually your lifestyle will catch up, so make those "money moves" now before you have kids or something
Just dont autisticly save it.
Save it for when you're ready to start a family.
Money doesn't buy personal happiness. You need to learn a skill or art. A lot of rich guys end up buying sailboats because they think that will make them happy, only to discover that sailing is rather difficult and takes a lot of time to master. These boats usually just sit in the harbor rotting.
That really depends if "more than both my parents" is 50k, 100k, or 200k+
Anyway, buy some property I guess. Or, if you think the economy will crash, wait it out and buy when it crashes.
Save up and retire early as well as having a rainy day fund. Look into retirement savings plans, GICS, etc. and decide what to go for.
If you aren't a complete moron start a business or invest with a good businessman
How did you go from paycheck to paycheck to more money that your parents?
Snagged a software dev contract with some trendy, high-demand tech.
Can I please have a buck mane
Put it in a mutual fund and keep doing so for a few years until the 10ish% interest rate is enough to live comfortably on (while still reinvesting some every year to keep up with inflation) and then you can do whatever you want for the rest of your life: switch jobs, go part-time, start a business, or just become a NEET.
Save up 6 months of living expenses in a bank savings account. You'll get lousy interest but it will be safe and available.
After that, budget 10-20 percent of your income or your home-made retirement fund. Open a no-load index-linked mutual fund with one of the big fund companies like Vanguard or Fidelity. Put money in regularly and forget about it. It will build nicely all by itself.
Then, after paying monthly bills plus basics like gas, food, clothing, etc. set aside half of what's left for a shamelessly self-indulgent splurge
invest, my son
put your money to work
donate to charity. support environmental causes. help people who are struggling
Slpurge on furry art commissions.
go /FIRE/ reddit has a good community about this
How did you achieve this sudden and substancial increase in income?
what do you do user? Everyone's interested.
Learn about money, so you can stash it better.
Ideally, learn anything. You can buy yourself a nice life. But the best stuff is free. Try to make investments. Learn about a Charity if you like them, donate.
