for the past 4 years I have been suffering from a neurological illness, and in the past 10 months I have rapidly deteriorated.
I suffer unbearable pain from heat intolerance and shortness of breath, and I have become incredibly weak. I wish I would at least be given a wheelchair as sympathy, all the time I am exhausted or in pain.
The worst part is that everyone denies that it is real they will see me suffering immensely and that is when they let out their anger on me. they refuse to let me use the air conditioning, or to rest.
I am verbally abused all the time I am called lazy, and mentally ill, and they all claim that my pain and weakness is not real and only a delusion.
My family has left me to die, my doctors have left me to die, nobody has any sympathy.
It is undiagnosed, but I suffer memory loss/personality change.
Autonomic dysfunction with muscle weakness, lightheadedness, heat intolerance, constant fatigue.
Thomas Davis
you might have a case of Deese syndrome Op
Lincoln Harris
dress cool and do cardio for better health
Chase Butler
What have I written that you think is a false memory? unfortunately my heat intolerance and weakness are very real, and are not false memories.
I am already diagnosed by a cardiologist my heart beat, heart imaging and lung imaging are all abnormal. none of these are psychological.
I am unaware of a psychological illness that causes heart abnormalities.
Cameron Wood
I wish it has become extremely difficult to do simple things like organize my room or walk to the grocery store(3 blocks). cardio is almost impossible
Josiah Flores
I'm so sorry, OP. I wish I was there so that I could give you all the protection you need.
Austin Baker
>given a wheelchair Pretty sure you can get your own. Probably for free.
Jace Murphy
they would criticize me for it in any case, say it was mental illness
Easton Sullivan
Such is America's "Free"™ Healthcare, have fun not dying.
Camden Morgan
Well, I would say that there is a point when giving a fuck what other people think is a mental illness. (If I believed in mental illness) and mental illness is commonly accepted as an illness so what's wrong with that. Doctors are stupid meat mechanics. People have too much stupid faith in them. Im sure there is something wrong with you and you're job is to deal with it. Nobody has to guve a crap about you. That's how life is. With the heat, that sucks, but realize that it probably isn't going to kill you. Pain cannot kill you.
Evan Campbell
>(If I believed in mental illness)
You're right. The brain is somehow, unlike every other organ in the body, completely immune to malfunction because... reasons.
Nathan Rivera
i’m sorry to hear that. really wish i could help but i hope it will get better and your family understands your problems
Leo Clark
That would be neurological. And I already covered your argument in my post dummy. An illness is an illness. if OP wants a wheel chair, OP should get one regardless of what anyone, including me, thinks. If there is some emotional shit to be hurdled, none can do that for OP.
Brody Evans
You sound like a schizophrenic or something similar that's mid-psychosis to me, personally. What blood tests or steps have you taken to be diagnosed? What have they ruled out already?
Wyatt Martinez
Do you sometimes eat like there is no tomorrow? What is your shoe size? Im stepping out for a couple hours. Lets hear some small details that you may think are insignificant.
Carter Carter
Frontotemporal dementia (FTD).
Zachary Wood
Wouldn't explain all the other symptoms though.
Weakness, heat intolerance, fatigue, could be thyroid related, but those don't exactly gel together (hyper and hypo).
but the OP also mentioned heart and lung issues as well. Possibly genetic to qualify so many symptoms at once, or possibly massive autoimmunity against multiple organs
Gabriel Ortiz
How bout a pituitary tumor. That could do all kinds of funny shit.
Henry Reed
He didn't mention anything about abnormally large hands or feet, so that rules out GH.
Nothing about gynecomastia or feeling asexual, so that makes PRL unlikely.
ACTH? They'd probably mention their fat buildup, swelling, bruising, stretch marks, etc.
TSH again could refer to my earlier mention of the thyroid. Heat intolerance from hyperthyroidism specifically (grave's possibly), but if that were true he'd also feel more stressed, irritable, and unhealthily energetic. Probably would have also mentioned stress. The fatigue is more in line with hypothyroidism
if he did have a severe pituitary tumor, it would also cause visual abnormalities.
As others have said, some kind of rapid-onset systemic disorder, possibly autoimmune, possibly something else. it's really hard to tell with not a lot of information
Zachary Taylor
>mentioned stress meant to write "mentioned sweating"
Landon Lopez
currently the doctors think it is an autonomic dysfunction,
I had a cardiologist who found an enlarged right ventricle, lung tissue abnormalities, arrhythmia, sinus tachycardia.
David Adams
Sorry I can't be of more help OP, I have to head out. I'm sorry you're going through this
I mean, they're a higher authority, but they do sound like they're on the right path (again, they're the experts so my "blessing" is worthless)
have they investigated any further into the autonomic dysfunction? any immunology screens?
also, is your muscle weakness in any particular pattern? like from your feet and moving up? or just random? or any other specific spot?
Nicholas Gomez
I have a lung spirometry scheduled my doctor was insisting on it.
there is no particular pattern to my weakness it may have nothing to do with neurology, but lately my limbs will sometimes become heavy, weak, and difficult to move normally.
Aaron Williams
I notice it in both my legs and my arms
Tyler Adams
OP, plain-jane manual wheelchairs are pretty cheap. If your doc can't get you one (he should be able to even without a diagnosis), you should call up thrift stores, pawn shops, and medical supply offices near you. Or just fuckin google it, tons of places sell wheelchairs. 1800wheelchair.com/category/manual-wheelchairs/
Jace Campbell
It'll be interesting to find out what the spirometry shows. clearly something is up in the lungs if your right ventricle has adapted to pumping into it.
maybe I was looking at it all wrong. maybe the primary issue is with the lungs, leading to the other symptoms. if you are suffering from a ventilation or perfusion issue with your lungs, you won't be pumping enough oxygenated blood around, and you're muscle will be starved. but again, this is just my far-away figuring.
I'll stop prodding you for answers... I also have to sleep. Again, I really do hope they find what is wrong with you. I know this doesn't mean much, but to try to hold on.
OP, have your docs considered Muscular Dystrophy? There's a ton of different kinds, and some of them show up later in life.
Grayson Morris
no the weakness has only started recently, and it does come and go, but it might just be that I am losing energy from all my illness.for now there is no way to know what it is.
John Miller
You've posted this before. You say all the doctors and family is all lying to you.
You have schizophrenia op. You don't realize because that's the illness. Notice how you still haven't died in your "rapidly deteriorating state". Doctors cannot refuse you if you really are in that condition.
I'd abandon you too rather than the stress of this retarded mental illness. If you think I am lying then go to a psych ward and if they don't admit you then there you go, you're right.
Jack Adams
Dude. I have acrmgly and didn't notice the shit out of any of that. I knew something was wrong but doctors didn't. Knew someone with cushings (died) who also didn't notice until too late. Just gained a little weight. Nice job with the knowledge tho. Maybe OP can take note. Most people won't mention being a fat fuck.
Daniel Cox
POTS? Chronic fatigue syndrome?

Dissociate: (from Latin Dissociat- ‘seperated’, from the verb dissociare, from dis- (expressing reversal) + sociare ‘join together’ (from socius ‘companion’).
Dissociative identity disorder (DID) is a rare condition in which two or more distinct identities, or personality states, are present in—and alternately take control of—an individual. Some people describe this as an experience of possession. The person also experiences memory loss that is too extensive to be explained by ordinary forgetfulness.
DID was called multiple personality disorder up until 1994, when the name was changed to reflect a better understanding of the condition—namely, that it is characterized by a fragmentation or splintering of identity, rather than by a proliferation or growth of separate personalities. The symptoms of DID cannot be explained away as the direct psychological effects of a substance or of a general medical condition.

Psychologist: usually someone who was never very good at math and could not complete a degree in a real science.
Example: "engineering is such a great job! I wish I could have studied it but I was never very good at math so I am going into psychology!!!" -real life psychologist
