If he is living in the same house as you here is what I would do user. Find his stash of weed and either sell his weed for profit or throw it away. Tell him he can find another place to smoke.

Smoking weed is a touch healthier than smmoking tobacco - though inhaling any type of smoke is not great for one's respiratory system, we're meant to breathe in air and not hot airborne particles. Luckily there's vaporizers and edibles and whatnot, it doesn't have to be smoke.

There are people who smoke weed who have died of lung cancer. Did the weed smoke do it? Maybe, but who the fuck knows for sure. All we know is that through decades of studies we've determined that inhaling any kind of organic smoke is bad for your health in several ways. We even know for a fact that simply eating burned hydrocarbons from flame grilled meat can cause cancer. The risk is far less than inhaling smoke, but it's real. Stop fucking smoking. You can't even prove a 60 year chain smoker's lung cancer was caused by smoking cigarettes. All we have are statistics which show correlation and study which analyzes the correlation and determines if it's causative.
This research has been done. The conclusion is that smoking pot is related to an increase in cancer, bronchitis, COPD, and other diseases of the lung.
