I'm not a guy, but I'm in a relationship with someone 9 years older than me. There's definitely some weird jokes I don't understand from him, and the majority of our arguments are about me "not being old enough to understand"

But I like the fact that I'm with someone that has gone through plenty of life experiences and can give me good advice. The only downside would be the weird looks from some people when we're together, but it doesn't bother me too much.

I'm pretty sure there's a big difference between a guy dating a girl 8 years older rather than younger. It's definitely less common than the other way.

Why would it be? People have this weird view of their 20s like it's supposed to be the time of their lives and it's all downhill from there. And the great part is your kids will most likely be healthy. Why wouldn't you enjoy being that guy?

That's my problem, I haven't done any of those things. I didn't make the most of my 20s which causes me to become incredibly bitter, regretful and depressed. instead of looking forward to a new stage of life, I just feel shit that everyone else got laid a ton in their 20s while I've only fucked 3 different women.

Biggest issue that i've experienced dating a woman 10 years older when I was in my 20s was that she was ready to have kids and I wasn't. Women who are childless in their 30s and want kids are really, really focused and obsessed with this because their clock is ticking. If you aren't ready for that, I would avoid getting involved and stick with someone your own age. You might cause her to waste her time and she will miss her window of opportunity and that would be selfish on your part. On the flip side, she might do stupid things to trick you into knocking her up whether you are ready or not and that is obviously selfish on her part. Make sure you really know where her focus is with life and if you match up with those plans because she is on a biological time limit that you don't have to worry about.
