Ashamed of being old and beginner

Hi Jow Forums! I would like to turn my life around and take up some hobbies, namely drawing and making YT videos that come to mind.

I have a problem, -shockingly- I don't really have self confidence and I am very afraid that being a beginner at my age is very shameful. I would like to be posting online because I have nobody IRL and maybe if I get some attention I can actually do something with my life.

I wanted to start 10 years ago but I was so devastated in high school it pretty much took this time to be relatively stable.

How could I get around this? I just want to be the guy I wanted to be a decade ago. lol

ok I am 33 and I am doing the same thing making my own manga style and frankly all you need to do is do it for yourself.
I have over 100 pages done hand drawn but no way to scan or have a tablet to draw with, it's never to late, simply just do it as a side thing and take it slow know getting attention for your shit takes time.

I would say level 0. I have done some drawing around 2012-2014, but that was really little and not structured learning. Also I don't know if at my age I still can do fanart and what franchises are really allowed.

That's reasonable and good luck user. I remember I wanted to do comics back in the day. I kinda have some anxiety issues, that is why I thought being in some community could help. While I get all kinds of anxiety pains just by thinking about doing something I am bad at, I really can't fail other people.

I don't know if the message comes across, I haven't been talking to people in a while.

Sorry for sperging.

You'll progress really fast if you have a structured learning method. The most important thing is to never stop drawing; even a simple doodle each day will count towards your progress.

It's never too late to start drawing. Have you heard of Shiro Kotobuki? He was the lead character designer at Konami. What amazing about him is that he only started drawing in his thirties when an accident crippled him permanently from the neck down.

ok, seems everyone has the problem today, and yesterday. Look when ever you put yourself out there always expect negative reaction. Focus on the good but dont be surprised when some one is mean. it's the internet people are assholes. So if they give you constructive criticism dont take it as a slight against you, just say "ok cool thanks for the tip I will work on that"

That's really impressive. I have plenty of time, I could put it to work.

Yes, that is a good advice. Thanks.

also when drawing follow the basics, and practice.

I will keep that in mind!

what do you plan on draw if you dont mind me asking?

Sure thing. I am interested in many things, character art, waifu stuff you name it. I just want to have something made by me. I miss the feeling.

all you need is to start, thing is you dont have to show it to any one, here is one of mine you can see
