How to deal with Boomers lecturing you with outdated dating / relationship advice when you don't ask for it?

I think it's time to ask ourselves what will happen if we don't get our act together and stop putting this on someone else to make us feel good, and instead look out for one another as we go about our jobs and lives.
What do you think? Do you think the men should pay themselves enough to buy themselves some time before firing them and starting the whole thing over?

thing is people in our generation were coddled in the warm blanket of education system. When the real world its survival out there and being expected to do work at a fast pace is simply a base requirement.

I think your issue comes down to a problem of not understanding where the boomers come from, not just the times they lived but where as well. Many of them go through fucked up lives and them saying shit like that is one of the few bright points of their miserable existence, and it's really is a compliment not some command or expectation. Basically you went through life getting compliments randomly right? Well that's not the case from a guys perspective or even a boomer, we never are told we look good. For good reason though, but Boomer Men grew up being told they are screw ups and need to work harder. Thats what I remember anyways.

If it’s coworkers then just be honest with them. You’re a young person so you know the young dating pool better. Come at it from an angle of empathy though, don’t say stuff about their advice being shit or that could put them on the defensive. Find nuggets of truth to agree with.

I'm 36 and work almost exclusively with younger guys. The oldest is 23, youngest is 17. Seriously I'm the least judgemental/sexist one out of all of them. They've all got multiple shit going on, usually involving social media that I've no experience of and no idea about. I try not to get involved to be honest except to point out basic shit like, consent, being ok with what you are doing, staying true to yourself rather than what you think others think you should be doing, shit like that. Some of them are quite romantic and I feel a little for them because they are playing some weird ass games when really they just want to lock a girl down and get boring with her.

Generic advice doesn't really go out of style? Generally the problem is you and you are the one who can change it. The problem is advise from older guys always sounds like hella gay shit to younger guys.

Maybe that is just me though. I also work with guys my own age and the majority of them are tragic individuals with really weird and creepy attitudes towards women. Most of them are in unhappy or failing relationships which externally look like the normative typical family setup, but internally is just ... unmet expectation, dying dreams, insecurity about age/fatherhood/masculinity/status, drink/drug/gambling problems and so on.

That is the worst, when some old dude tries to cop it all let me lay down some truths here when they clearly hate themselves and their life and are dealing really badly and have nothing to offer except a read between the lines cautionary tale on what not to do.
