I get that same feeling.
A lot of conspiracy theoriests have been showcased recently in mass media, but they all feel like strawmen behind an artificial war to push opposing ideas. I'm sure there are people stupid enough to believe the earth is flat, but it seems so benign to me that it wouldn't be worth a second look.
The opposing ideas, such as forced mass vaccinations with whatever people in power deem necessary, or hefty taxes that solve nothing aimed at fixing global warming are not as benign.
