I don't have an issue with a police force as a concept. My issue is with the behavior of the people we hire to fulfill this concept and those in-charge of them. I also have an issue with many of the laws they're to enforce. They're often never the kind of people who should be police, are barely trained, and often are led by politicking sociopaths.

Starting wage is 60-70k for me, 40 hours a week, 2 days off possibly nonconsecutive to start but eventually will be back to back.
I'm also doing search and rescue as a deputy which can include being out for 2-4 days at a time with kids looking for lost hikers which nets me OT and innawoods fun.
Guy who got me the job makes 122k a year and he is going on his 12th year.
