Wasn’t the original Buchenwald barracks photo published a month earlier in other newspapers, with the man in it? The NYT magazine (aimed at family readership) edited him out as he was too shocking. Your graphic has the dates wrong and the original was the one with the man.

Also, since he was an inmate at Buchenwald and lived in the barracks, even if he was shopped in, this is hardly very deceptive. You aren’t suggesting the man wasn’t a prisoner, or didn’t look like that, or didn’t live in the barracks, are you? That would need some support - have you any reason for thinking that?

When they did dig up a few areas of the Treblinka camp they found only a small amounts of bone fragments, not even enough for a single person. They didn’t burn them one at a time in only one place. They didn’t burn them all. They had over a thousandcamos and thousands of ghettos, thousands of mass shooting sites, thousands of places Jews died and were buried at the side of roads, or in cemeteries.

The American World Almanac is a commercial trivia collection. They do sports results and records. They didn’t have people on the ground in Europe doing a headcount of Jews. No one did, for years. It wasn’t a high priority- getting the bridges repaired, the agriculture running, rebuilding houses - that was more important.
So no one had numbers for years. How would some Almanac editor in New York know how many Jews were left in Warsaw?
They always relied on other sources anyway - those figures are from the World Jewish Council, or American Jewish council. But the almanac says specifically in 1948 that it was using 1939 data, because they didn’t have new figures.
It wasn’t that they didn’t realise, they just didn’t know the new figures yet.

The earlier explorations of Sobibor took core samples every few meters - recording bone ash and teeth and waxy fat (human fat) all over the site. It was after that that the Jews objected to the disturbances of the graves. Imagine your relatives were in a grave and someone took borehole samples, just out of curiosity - wouldn’t your family be upset?
Also in a1 meter square test pit at Treblinka they found bits big enough to be identified as remains of over thirty people. In soil that was composed of decayed ash. Isn’t that enough bodies in one small pit to show this is a mass grave?

Why is Treblinka and Sobibor and Belzec and Chelmno not on the list? What about the mass shootings they did in the Ukraine? Those numbers are not there.

During this period diseases like cholera,tetanus, typhoid and dysentery where rife.
Add to that the last couple of years the Allies bombed the shit out of the transport networks and food and medical supplies became scarce. Any leader in wartime would ensure his troops got access to those supplies in prefference to civilians and those in camps would be bottom of the supply chain.
Once you crunch the numbers it works out at 4 people per day over 9 years per camp dying of natural causes.
There were no death camps, there were no poison gas showers they simply were not required.
There needed to be cremetoria though, burning of cadavers was the only way of ensuring disease did not spread quickly..

This graphic has a lot of mistakes in it. For instance, Zyklon b does not always cause stains. In fact it rarely does, unless it is very heavy concentration for long periods. They used it (still use it) for fumigation of buildings, trains, factories, offices, all sorts of places - you can’t do that and leave blue stains everywhere.

You know the UN didn’t exist then? So it want the UN that inspected them, or didn’t get to inspect them.
And that drop in numbers was only for Auschwitz. The Soviets started saying 7 million people were killed there (not all Jews - in fact they didn’t give numbers for Jews, they said it was prisoners of war). Then they said 4 million, then when Poland got free of the communists they changed it to the number that real historians had calculated in the West - 1.1 to 1.5 million. Of which about 900,000 to 1.2 million were Jews. It is still not settled.
This is not unusual for a genocide, and one that the perpetrators destroyed the records for and tried to cover up by blowing up the gas chambers (but no other buildings).
Also most of those camps were not open for nine years. So your number crunching is based on false figures. Although it is interesting, if you were right then it would take only 20 people a day per camp to achieve that 5.5 million number. Which isn’t much. Easy to do. Even without the gas chambers and the mass shootings. In fact since over a million were shot in the Ukraine, thr number killed in camps is only about 4 million, so it is less than 15 people per day per camp. So you just proved the numbers are very easy to account for.

There were mass grave and ash dump sites identified in the 1940s. The fact that some people now deny that for no reason is not a good enough reason to start digging up the remains of the murdered people there. Agai, all this is just ghoulish- you wouldn’t be satisfied if they I’d it anyway. Unless they found 32 million teeth and did dna testing on ever fleck of ash and bone to determine exactly how many they found. If it was only possible to identify half amillion, or one million, you would be asking how many were Jews. You would be asking where the other hundred thousand were. You would never think it enough.
