I head a department of a highly specialized technical function for a business in finance. People in my department typically have math degrees and continue their formal education and training up to a decade after completing their bachelors degree. We are highly paid and sought after by employers. We also interact frequently with Senior leadership and often get opportunities to become a senior leader at a much greater rate than other functions and much earlier in our careers.
Whenever I have an opening for a new hire I get a lot of candidates. 40-50 is pretty common. Of those normally only about 2 will be women and they are normally immigrants.
The problem isn’t employers hiring practices. The problem is the professions women pursue.

Normally, you would use an event analysis for this or at least something that takes the necessary time-variable into consideration. NEXT TO the obvious reverse causality fact that is righly expressing.
I remember having extensive classes on event analysis and the addition of female/minority board members leading to lower overal short term return and long term return or neutral long term return.
