The Max 8's design increased its propensity to increase its Angle of Attack (AOA)- the angle of the airplane relative to the horizontal plane.

If the plane risks stalling (a combination of AOA and airspeed), the Maneuvering Characteristics Augmentation System (MCAS) decreases the AOA until the plane is no longer at risk of stalling.

It's widely reported that the MCAS sensors on the Max 8 were reading faulty- but is it more likely that:
1. the MCAS sensors on 2 Black/Pajeet planes failed (when Black/Pajeet only operate 60/380 Max 8s)
OR
2. that Black/Pajeet pilots figured that the maximum climb rate is achieved solely by maximum AOA? And that this disregard for air-speed meant the MCAS attempted prevent stalling by gaining airspeed, achieved by pointing the nose down? And that pilot interference (attempting to pull the nose up before the plane gained enough airspeed for lift AND for the engines to produce enough power) prevented the plane from recovering?

And even IF the MCAS incorrectly decreased the plane's AOA, pic related, located between the pilots, enables manual control of stabilizer trim, which can correct the AOA..

So basically they stall, plane tries to recover, they fight it, everyone dies. How frequently are planes getting into stall situations?

The manual trim wheels spin quite noticeably whenever the trim is being adjusted too. Pretty hard to not notice a runaway trim situation and take manual control.

Planes are as safe as those who operate them

Flew one of these on Westjet last summer from Montreal to Vancouver. Got bumped to up business for some reason. Was the most pleasant flight I ever had. We even had some turbulence but it was fine.

The problem is that Boeing didn't take the time to redesign the entire aircraft, instead they modded a 40 year old design with modern fuckhuge fuel-efficient engines. So they had to make a quick fix.

It works for Canada if they want to create their own industry rather than rely on American products.

the preliminaty report states that the crew followed the runaway stab trim memory items and disabled the trim motors. this worked. however, they mentioned the manual trim being inoperative. you absolute tool.

yeah no. theres always 3 sensors, connected to 3 cloned compuuter systems, its data is handle by a system that do some sort of "quorum" between the 3 systems. Any weird measuremnt that differs from other is protocolised to check and repair and its no hassle.

Boeing software automaticly engages safety emergency pull down in a maneuver with the sole propourse of recover speed after a stall. Quorum system somehow thinks plane is stalled and dive to shit.

Surprisingly, nogs arent worst pilots. They trained by russians and learned to fly on ilushins and wooden planes always overloaded on dirt landing tracks, contrary to Jow Forums popular belief, all nogs arent retarded and some can fly a plane, just like you cant... Crap tier pilots are the asians, they can crash anything in handful of stupid ways.

Also boeing had this very same problems in 80s, that time was a faulty sensor, but produced same dive on takeoff, so its no big surprise.
