Having done this I believe I've intellectually given myself to Christ. What I am working on now is giving myself in full. I recognize His lordship but I've yet to really sincerely commit my life. You can't do it. If you have a rational world view belief in god simply isn't tenable outside of divine revelation. You could pray to god to have a divine revelation like some people claim to have had, but no evidence that works.

The problem you have is that if you relax your standards of evidence such that belief in god becomes even plausible, it opens up most other major religions as possiiblies as well, and appeal to Christ is just special pleading fallacy.

You basically have to do what Peterson does which is get to step 5 basically and then "act as if god exists" while simultaneously acknowledging that you simply cannot intellectually entertain the supernatural shenanigans. Which is really just a case of saying, don't think about it too hard.

Personally I think that's dumb and intellectually dishonest and instead I look for secular reasons to believe the useful parts of religious teachings, those things that we can back up with data. For example no sex before marriage highly correlating with successful marriages. You don't need god for that you just need good data and the will to pass that data on to your children.
