How do I best explain to a friend that National Socialism is one of the better political structures made? I've tried and while he says he agrees he continues to deny the positives and discount all the things the Nazis did during the 20th century.

As with anything, just ask
"Do you agree with X?" being X anything that is a part of what you're trying to convince him is good, but do not ever mention the connection the more general concept.
Example, pick one of the 25 points of the program and ask him about it.
Do this enough times. In the end just tell him, or not, where you got those points from.

Let's say you lived in the Roman Empire in the year 15. At that you'd think it would never collapse and you say it won't. But you can't see into the future. And it did end up collapsing.
